Stacey interviewing at UT
Re: Stacey interviewing at UT
Haneline at Toledo, Joplin at BG and now Stacey? What's the world coming to? Will Bruce Gradkowski be our next offensive coordinator? Will Cal Bowers become the line coach at Toledo? Will Snakeman dress as Rocky the Rocket?

Let him cut his teeth there and then hire him here.

Mind = blown. Who would have thought, even back then, that BG was a better job for a head coach. Not much has changed in all of these years.Dayons_Den wrote:Harold Anderson's first college HC job was at Toledo....

According to Jordan Strack, Stavey got the job.

Anthony Stacey has been hired as an Assistant Basketball Coach at The University of Toledo. He's the all-time leading scorer at BGSU.

Colin Irish replacing Stacey at Sandusky.
Toledo brought in Jeff Massey as an assistant just a couple of days after hiring Stacey. Massey originally was a BG signee out of Indiana, but couldn't get into school.

He should get a pretty good reaction from BG fans though he's working for our rival.
Haven't seen him since a few games before they moved to the Stroh. It was pretty cool seeing him after all those years.

From Nick Piotrowicz, UT Beat Writer
Former BGSU star turned UT asst. Anthony Stacey, speaking to UT donors: "It feels good to finally put on the right colors."
I get you have to appease donors but really?

Nope. He doesn't have ME fooled. He's Brown and Orange to the core. Stace is just saying the right bullshit so he can ascend to a REAL coaching job down here at BG.

For those interested in history, Anderson got the head coaching and AD jobs at BG. Back in the day, coaches were still teaching classes besides their coaching duties. Not very glamorous.Bassdrummin wrote:Mind = blown. Who would have thought, even back then, that BG was a better job for a head coach.
