Is There Anybody Alive Out There?!?!

Post by ZuluWarrior »

Am I missing something? Why isn't the Falcon Nation abuzz with the apparent approval for both Rhodes and Brown's eligibility this year? Maybe I'm missing something, but it seems BiG!

I've seen no news confirming this whatsoever.

Added to the program, YES, and they are allowed to practice. Nowhere in the article does it state that they were granted a waiver for this year. As of now still not eligible until 2015 season.

We're in the same spot we were last year when it was announced Gehrig Dieter joined the program. He applied for a waiver as well and as we all know it was denied.

A birdy told me today that the plan for Rhodes is to sit out the year, they don't expect he'll get a waiver. Malik Brown has a much higher chance since he has missed time due to injury.

It's incredible that these rulings couldn't be made before the start of practice. How complicated can they be?

Given the circumstances surrounding his departure from Baylor...Rhodes could probably use the year (he has one available any way) to focus on school and building a solid relationship with the community. Brown already sat a year...I don't think he ever saw the field for the Vols...he SHOULD get to play this year. I think the NCAA should make that the standing rule....if you didn't see the field for a year, you can up and leave with no waiting.
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

I was going to say I think I'd almost rather see Rhodes sit out a year. He was a late(r) transfer, and he could probably really dangerous in the next couple of years for us, I just dont know how much of an impact he would make this year with as little work with the team as he has had.

I heard the same thing about him. I am thrilled we have him and I hope we see him this season but I'm afraid we're gonna have to wait until next season.

I say get him on the field as fast as possible because we might not have him for long.
