Falcons in the NFL
Re: Falcons in the NFL
Any update on how our falcons are doing in camps?
Re: Falcons in the NFL
I haven't heard anything about any of our guys yet, and that's not really surprising. These minicamps and OTAs are almost impossible to get info out of...especially for our guys that are all UDFAs.
Most of these are highly restricted access (and they're barely even practices anyhow...no pads, etc). I think the media might get one day a week that they can observe, and you can bet that a bulk of their time will be spent watching the first round picks or key FA additions. They're not really going to be paying real close attention to the UDFA guys.

Speaking of the Chief(s), Jairus Campbell signed with them today.Siborg wrote:Any word on our UDFAs or anyone else we have in the NFL?

Re: Falcons in the NFL
Gates was invited to camp to try out (one of 20). He was not one of the four offered… Not sure what he is doing now.
Re: Falcons in the NFL
Jairus Campbell got some playing time in the second half of the Chiefs/Bengals game last night. Had a solo tackle and a pass deflected. Looked pretty good for only having been in the system for four days.

Re: Falcons in the NFL
Alex Bayer ended up with 5 receptions for 71 yards tonight, longest was a 42 yarder late in the game.
The longer the walk, the farther you crawl.
Re: Falcons in the NFL
Bayer did well at both TE and some H-back. Announcers spoke well of him. Nothing fantastic but very solid and versatile.

Re: Falcons in the NFL
He was the leader in receptions, yards, and longest reception. I'd say that's a good start. He's a versatile guy and an awesome receiving TE. He's got a good chance there.

Hopefully this will earn him more first half reps.
Re: Falcons in the NFL
Chris Jones was dominant today. He had six tackles, three for loss, and two sacks, and led the team in all three categories ...

I believe that was Chandler Jones. Chris is out until the start of the season with an ankle injury.MarkL wrote:Chris Jones was dominant today. He had six tackles, three for loss, and two sacks, and led the team in all three categories ...![]()

Re: Falcons in the NFL
Unless ESPN got it wrong, it is in fact Chris Jones who dominated.bgdodgeball4 wrote:I believe that was Chandler Jones. NE Defense TACKLES SACKS TFL INT TD
Chris Jones 6 2 3 0 0
Chandler Jones had no stats to report. It is possible ESPN confused the two ...
