Season Ticket Holder Event
I see where there is a scrimmage and season ticket holder event Saturday (8/16/2014) at 8:30am. Tonight was the first I heard about it via Twitter. Anyone else get details any earlier??

Saw it on the athletic site or twitter but did not think I got the e-mail. After checking with the ticket office that my order was actually processed I realized that it landed in my spam box.

Got the email a few weeks back.
The scrimmage at 8:30 is on the practice fields, so if you want to sit, you have to bring your own chair. The RSVP was only for the lunch where Kingston and Dino will do a Q & A.
I know Dino is a big fan of the natural grass. But, I wonder when they will move to the turf. BG is one of the few teams to play 0 games on natural grass this year.

Re: Season Ticket Holder Event
Well I went to the ticket office today and all I can say is EPIC FAILURE! The email address the notice was sent to has been changed with that office three times now. Once that was corrected I asked if I could get my season tickets today. That was not a problem. So we went through the packet and came to the parking pass. I requested the soccer field parking. It is closer to where we live and will be easier to get out after the game. Instead the pass was for the area south of the score board. I have no intention of parking in that mess of a swamp this year. So that had to be changed. I guess the frustration isn't with missing the details, it was the miss in the big things. I know there are some new people in the ticket office, but each turnover should not require reinventing the wheel.

Journey,
FWIW, the free parking has always been for that area behind the scoreboard. But many of us usually go to , I believe, lot 20 to tailgate. But the grassy area is not usually a swamp, unless of course BG got hit with a monster rain.

Re: Season Ticket Holder Event
When we asked, we were told the season ticket parking is north of the soccer field. The parking by the scoreboard is for Falcon Club members. This has changed?
As for EPIC FAIL, my dad bought 4 season tickets. The ticket office sends all of the emails to me because I am getting one of the tickets and I had season tickets a couple years ago. I don't mind getting the emails, but my dad doesn't get them. This is the third time now he's given them his email, and yet he still doesn't get any emails. Oh well.

I just received my season tickets and yes our lot has moved over by the Ice Arena. It's almost like they are punishing us for being season ticket holders and have put us as far away from the stadium as possible. I don't mind the walk to the game but they have also moved us as far away from the RV/tailgating lot. I'm getting the impression the athletic department doesn't approve of tailgating because they constantly change the parking lot in really stupid ways trying to stop it. Back when we used to be back in the grassy area by Bill's hill the tailgating was EPIC! Hello! This is the primary reason we go to the games! Anyway, I'm done with it, I will NOT renew my season tickets anymore. Wtg to go Athletic Department, you just keep turning away your dedicated alumni/fans.

You're not being punished for being a season ticket holder. They rewarded you with a parking permit worth $60 to park at the soccer field. It's an extra four or five minute walk over to the RV lot. Pay the $10 parking fee if you feel that strong about parking in one of the lots south of the stadium.OrangeSocksFalcon wrote:I just received my season tickets and yes our lot has moved over by the Ice Arena. They also rewarded Falcon Club members who are season ticket holders by moving the Falcon Club parking to the area south of the scoreboard. As a Falcon Club member, I believe they should have been doing this already.
Too bad you're not planning on renewing your season tickets for next year. With all the hype we already have for the upcoming season, next season should be even better when the guys have had a season to learn the new offense. A shame you're going to miss it.

Re: Season Ticket Holder Event
I stopped buying season tickets when I realized I'd miss at least 1-2 games a year because they're on a midweek night and I'd be paying to see us in what amounts to a scrimmage against 1AA teams (don't mind us scheduling them...do mind paying for it
)
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

That's what caused me to stop buying season tickets too Flip.
I liked this year's schedule better than the past few so I got back on board (plus I'm excited to watch some fun football again instead of Clawson-ball).
But I agree paying for 1AA games blows, and being stuck with tickets to random weeknight games in November sucks even more. The MAC does everything in its power to piss off its fans..and it's gotten it down to a science!
