This is a secondary that is returning all but 1 player. Our defensive backs don't suck; they were one of the best units in the country last year. This failure is on the coaching staff, not the players.

I honestly figured the O would struggle and the D would be able to step up. I can't believe what happened tonight. It's hard not to give up on this year already when you see what WKU did to our D tonight. I'm struggling to find hope. I know it's early, but damn!

Forget Indiana. VMI will torch us. I really had no confidence in our defensive line. Was not sure about secondary. Both suck. The scheme was bad- too far off receivers and we had no pressure on the QB. WKU just was way better than us. Long season ahead. O line not good either in pass protection. Enthusiasm for the season gone…… Lose a close game different than total embarrassment….

This team was not ready to play! I really don't know what to say or think about the 2014 season. However, this is what separates BGSU from the successful mid majors. We CANNOT sustain success over multiple seasons. Other teams have been able to do that. Until we figure it out we will be happy with lightning striking every 20 years or so.
