Good move or bad move

Post by gmartin »

When the Cincinnati Bearcats host Toledo Rockets on Friday night, Sept 12, that will be Cincinnati's first game of the season. This will be the Rockets 3rd game. Cincinnati didn't play the 1st weekend and had a bye the second weekend. Do you think it's a good move starting the season basically with two bye weeks and eliminating weeks off during the season. Or would it been better to start the season when everyone else did and then have bye weeks during the season. For a young team having two extra weeks may be beneficial. I'm surprised the NCAA allowed the schedule this way. What's your thoughts.

I have not done any research on this, but I know the Bearcats are playing at Paul Brown Stadium this season while Nippert is renovated. The byes may have something to do with this?

Yeah bad move. The first week to second week is typically where tons of mistakes are corrected. ...or so we hope :)
