Seriously best wishes to him and Matt on speedy and 100% recoveries.
Re: Colvin Out for Season (?)
Anyone know if this is a potential career-ending issue or if he could come back next season?
GO BG!!!

Let's hope it isn't something g horrible and that we're done with bad news for a while.

During the offseason, Babers made a comment along the lines of how we had what appeared to be one of the better teams in the MAC - however - that we were also only a few injuries away from being an average team instead of a good team in the conference. Well, we've now lost our starting QB Johnson, starting DT Colvin and starting WR Gallon all to injury and we also lost our #1 short-yardage back in Houston. I think we've hit the mark.
GO BG!!!

No doubt. Babers called him a "bad ass" and we're gonna miss him.MarkL wrote:Let's hope it isn't something g horrible and that we're done with bad news for a while.

Yep, this will about do it so far as any aspirations of a repeat title for BG. You can't keep losing quality players and think you're going to just be the same. Not even the big programs can withstand these kinds of losses most of the time.BGSU33 wrote:During the offseason, Babers made a comment along the lines of how we had what appeared to be one of the better teams in the MAC - however - that we were also only a few injuries away from being an average team instead of a good team in the conference. When BG was selected as the favorite to win the MAC, I immediately thought of how that probably jinxed this entire season. I wonder why us Falcon fans are so skeptical and cynical when it comes to media or coaches projecting our teams to be the best?
Oh wait...it's because we're pretty used to having our teeth kicked in just when we're ready to smile.
That's it.

It's gonna be OK...Colvin's a good player..really good, but if you're telling me that the gap between him and the rest of the options at DT is so big that it takes us from being a quality team to a middle if the road team...well, we weren't very good to begin with. This is a chance for a guy like Lunsford or Smith (what's up with Minns?) to show what they can do.

Wanted to point out that I hope Colvin recovers and graduates. My earlier comments were focused on the team...kind of an insensitive Dick move on my part
