As for the D, it is pretty obvious they are putting everything into stopping the Wisconsin inside run. You have to pick your poison when the offensive line has such a size advantage on our front seven. You try to stuff the inside run while sacrificing adequately defending the outside run and the pass. It makes ... a little bit of sense. If they can run the ball through the middle all day they can control the clock and completely wear us out. If we force them to run outside we can knock them out of bounds and stop the clock, or if we force them to pass then the front seven can force a bad throw by the QB and again stop the clock on an incomplete. It sure looks ugly but you have few options when we're outmanned so badly on defense, so you scheme to force mistake heavy plays.

Or at leat that's how I'm reading it.

Can't even stop the run when you load 8 guys in the box. Defense is gassed from the offense sputtering.

Knapke really makes himself short when he drives into a throw and Wisconsin is doing a good job hanging back and batting everything down. I suppose chucking it deep every play is the best strategy going forward today.

Yup. That's been a concern of mine, that FalconFast can lead to the D getting back on the field FalconFast.

Lewis isn't leading the nation in receptions but I bet he leads the nation in drawn pass interference penalties.

Falcon Fast: You'll be home quickly after the other team blows us out in the first quarter.

I was afraid our D would wear out quickly. This drive is evidence of our exhausted D.

Our D was terrible when they had all just had naps. They are terrible. Being exhausted doesn't mean you have to leave the TE completely uncovered every play.

Wonder if Babers will make any comments about bandwagon fans again this week.

That's total bs globe. They got a single three and out, forced a turnover, and had another one gifted to them. The defense isn't good, but the reason were getting killed is because our offense isn't doing what it's supposed to do. Knapke is playing like the inexperienced qb that he is. His two turnovers put the game out of our reach.

Yes he is. And missing wide open throws as well. Our wrs have torched their secondary and we have only made them pay a fraction of the times we should have. Our defense has no shot (if they ever did) with the offense not dictating tempo and scoring points. I love this style of football but it will always look real ugly when the offense doesn't do their part.

He basically said that everybody that jumped off the bandwagon after wku can't get back on even though we beat iu. Foolish comments, but I understand them. Unfortunately at bg all we have are bandwagoners.
