115 yards given up in the 1st 5 minutes isn't the defenses fault?jpfalcon09 wrote:Not really the defense at fault today. Offense has a three and out and a turnover already.

They've also forced two huge turnovers. They've done a good job today so far.Globetrotter wrote:115 yards given up in the 1st 5 minutes isn't the defenses fault?jpfalcon09 wrote:Not really the defense at fault today. Offense has a three and out and a turnover already.

Knapke must lead the NCAA in balls deflected at the line
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.

Re: UMass Game
This officiating crew and replay crew is TERRIBLE. If you need a review every 4th play you obviously shouldn't be an official. I'm all for replay but at some point there needs to better better officials and better replay people in the booth that can make a call without replaying every single play

The secondary is awful, that much I will agree with. Defense will only have success this year if they can get pressure up front.

Re: UMass Game
Lack of consistency on both sides of the ball is killing us...the defense makes some plays and then give it all back on a deep throw. The biggest question with the offense is do we have the talent at the skill positions to overcome an inconsistent QB, poor red zone play calls and tendency to pick up stupid penalties

Penalties have been a nightmare today. Coach needs to take responsibility for that.

I'm thinking the only way I'm going to clear "Glory, Glory Man United" out of my brain is with a bullet

Re: UMass Game
If the offense can stop shooting themselves in the foot with penalties, it looks like they should be able to be very, very effective today.
Re: UMass Game
And they're going to need to be, considering how the defense is performing.........again.Beaker wrote:If the offense can stop shooting themselves in the foot with penalties, it looks like they should be able to be very, very effective today.

8 penalties in a quarter and a half of football ous inexcusable.

The good news is there are 2 bad defenses playing today.
