Injuries?
Re: Injuries?
Boy, we sure are fooling offenses with that 2 deep.
Re: Injuries?
I noticed Roger Lewis was limping around a little but he kept playing. Anything going on with him? Is he 100% for Buffalo?
Re: Injuries?
Per The Blade:
INJURY WATCH: The Falcons will not have senior defensive back Victor Osborne, who sees extensive action on special teams, or senior defensive tackle Zach Colvin on Saturday when they host Buffalo at Doyt Perry Stadium. Babers said senior linebacker D.J. Lynch is doubtful for the 3:30 p.m. contest, while senior safety Ryland Ward is questionable. Sophomore wide receiver Gehrig Dieter is probable for the game.

Re: Injuries?
Interesting.....isn't this pretty much the way the NFL lists injured guys?

Re: Injuries?
INJURY REPORT: The Falcons will not have two seniors in the lineup Saturday at Ohio, as defensive tackle Zach Colvin will miss his sixth game and linebacker D.J. Lynch will not play in his fifth straight contest because of injury.
Senior safety Ryland Ward is listed as questionable by Babers for the contest against the Bobcats as he looks to return from a left wrist injury.
Meanwhile sophomore wide receiver Gehrig Dieter, who has missed the last three games because of knee and ankle issues, is listed as probable for the game.

Re: Injuries?
If Deiter is able to go, OU's secondary will really have their hands full. UB had a rather veteran secondary and they successfully took Roger Lewis out of the game which allowed Ronnie Moore to come up with play after play. If OU has to deal with Moore and Deiter and Lewis ... not to mention Coby and Jackson and Burbrink ... good luck.
Defensively getting Ward back could be gigantic. The D came together in a big way in the second half of the UB game. If they can carry that momentum into the next game, especially an offense that has been struggling some recently, then getting Ward back could be a perfect storm for our D to finally come together.

Re: Injuries?
I saw again this week that Dieter is probable and Ward is questionable and Lynch and Colvin are both out. Of course that is what we had reported last week as well and all four did not play. I would love to see both Dieter and Ward back this week versus Ohio. Both could give the offense and defense a boost. But at this point, I'm highly doubting both will see the field. Maybe one of them will, likely Dieter, but I'd be shocked if we saw both Dieter and Ward out there.MarkL wrote:If Deiter is able to go, OU's secondary will really have their hands full. All meaningless. Til you see them playing just consider them out.

Re: Injuries?
Honestly the smart thing to do at this point is keep guys out until after the bye week so everyone is ready for the meat of the MAC schedule. I believe the team has enough talent and bodies available to defeat Ohio and WMU.

It is DIETER.....not deiter
And we are driving 5 1/2 hours to the game. see ya there.....

My bad, thanks for correcting me. I'll make sure I spell him correctly as Dieter in the future.Indiana4 wrote:" Deiter is able to go, OU's secondary will really have their hands full. Re: Injuries?
That's basically my take too. Our depth chart has pretty much been useless for the last month. They may as well toss Omar Jacobs on it at QB to spruce it up or something.kdog27 wrote:All meaningless. Til you see them playing just consider them out.
