Buffalo fan's perspective of our facilities
Re: Buffalo fan's perspective of our facilities
Would it help to close in the endzone so the wind is a bit less? Especially since we seem to love to pass the football. I can understand leaving it open to the wind if we were a triple option team and make the other team suffer trying to pass, but we're not.

I think hammb is on the right track - I really enjoy watching a game at The Doyt - great sight lines and the combination of the Sebo and the turf really set things of nicely. And the tailgating scene - while not as robust as some would like it - is pretty good. The setting for tailgating is good, and it's easy to get from the lot to the stadium.
The whole thing breaks down on infrastructure - the restrooms and concessions, in particular.

I agree the infrastructure needs attention. A facility always needs updates but the stadium was pretty well built and designed. What I find interesting is the number of years other schools needed to catch up and in a couple cases pass the amenities of our facility.

When my buddies and I were young, we would ride our bikes to University Field to watch games. When the new stadium was completed we again took the bicycles through town, 'cross campus and on out. Upon arriving it was like coming upon the Emerald City to us junior Falcons that had no reference point outside of U Field and back lots. Time flies Falcon Fast.
