WMU came back from 21 down to beat Ball State so they'll be in coming in on a high note. Also, with the Suckeyes playing next Saturday at 3:30 I doubt there's a huge crowd.

There might be a huge crowd at the start...but they're be a huge exodus of students and OSU frontrunners out the gates at the half.

People that root for other schools over their own disgust me.

This upcoming game with WMU is HUGE! Why? Well consider this: First off, we won't play again after the WMU game for 17 days! That is not a typo, 17 days, nearly two and a half weeks! We won't play after WMU until Novermber 4th at Akron. If BG can beat WMU it would make us 6-2 overall - to become bowl eligible - and more importantly, stay undefeated in the MAC at 4-0.

Exactly!

Last Saturday at home, the weather forecast is looking good, OSU fans....well sorry, no playoff for you this year (maybe you can start lobbying to add a few more rounds to that play-off system).

I'm glad I already have my tickets! \:D/

Just realized this yesterday when looking at the schedule: The Falcons' last road trip outside the state of Ohio was the Sept. 27 game at UMass. For the rest of the regular season, the Falcons are only playing football games in the state Ohio.

The MAC is pretty cool that way.

BG opens at just a 3-point favorite. I fully expect another nailbiter again. WMU is a much-improved team this year. It has been 10 years since we last beat WMU. I know we don't play them every year, but BG has lost three in a row to WMU (including the last two at the Doyt) and has only won 3 of the last 12 meetings with WMU. We are long overdue for a win over WMU.

I only remember having played WMU twice in the decade I've been following BG football. They've basically been scavengers, or vultures if you will. Their paths to victory against BG in that span of time were as follows.

1.Knock out Omar Jacobs, watch as Anthony Turner and that defense self-destruct
2.Catch the Falcons in their worst season ever in a meaningless end of season contest

Who knows what the Broncos will come up with this time. I don't like these guys. I dislike them more than pretty much everybody in the MAC other than Miami and Toledo. Beat them.

I certainly have no love for WMU....and we haven't done well against them the last decade as 33 pointed out. We need this win badly. 2 1/2 weeks to rest up and get healthy for Akron. BEAT WMU. Make them row that damn boat back to Kzoo.

My two season tickets are available for anyone who would like them, as I'll be watching the game from the beaches of Santa Barbara this weekend. They are chairbacks in section 15 about 20 rows up from the field. Great seats and I'd rather give them away than the seats stay empty. Let me know if you're interested so I can mail them out this evening.

I went back and watched parts of a few of WMU's games and came away VERY impressed with RB Jarvion Franklin. This kid - and he is just a kid as he's only a true frosh - is a beast! He's 6-0, 220 and has scored 15 TD's (leads the nation) and has rushed for nearly 1,000 yards already. He has MAC Freshman of the Year written all over him.

Absolutely agree. I mentioned him in my preview page as the key to their offense. Something I just saw today ... he has scored 3 touchdowns in EVERY SINGLE GAME except for that team up north (scored 1) and Virginia Tech (scored 2). And he's durable ... very durable. If we cannot keep him from controlling the clock and scoring, we will have to rely upon quick scores to win.
