WMU also ran a lot of jet sweeps in the games I watched. Some were used as just misdirection (where they faked it) and others they ran the quick toss out of. This look was combined a lot of plays where they ran Franklin. QB Terrell is also very mobile. We're going to have to play an all-around good game to beat WMU. They have already won two road games this year (including last week at Ball State) and if not for a 4th down conversion on the final drive by Toledo to force OT, they would have beaten UT - and we know all too well how hard that is to do. They are not anywhere near the team that went 1-11 last year.MarkL wrote:Absolutely agree. I mentioned him in my preview page as the key to their offense. Something I just saw today ... he has scored 3 touchdowns in EVERY SINGLE GAME except for that team up north (scored 1) and Virginia Tech (scored 2). And he's durable ... very durable. If we cannot keep him from controlling the clock and scoring, we will have to rely upon quick scores to win.BGSU33 wrote:I went back and watched parts of a few of WMU's games and came away VERY impressed with RB Jarvion Franklin. This kid - and he is just a kid as he's only a true frosh - is a beast! He's 6-0, 220 and has scored 15 TD's (leads the nation) and has rushed for nearly 1,000 yards already. He has MAC Freshman of the Year written all over him.
Go Falcons! Beat WMU!

One of my favorite all time games was 2002 WMU game. 48-45 win in 2OT.

BG rallied twice from 2 TD deficits and J5 scored the game winner. Lee Corso was pretty damn close on his prediction on Gameday..."BG scores one more point and beats WMU!". GREAT game...kdog27 wrote:One of my favorite all time games was 2002 WMU game. 48-45 win in 2OT.

1.Knock out Omar Jacobs, watch as Anthony Turner and that defense self-destruct
2.Catch the Falcons in their worst season ever in a meaningless end of season contest
Who knows what the Broncos will come up with this time. I don't like these guys. I dislike them more than pretty much everybody in the MAC other than Miami and Toledo. Beat them.
I don't like anything at all about that P.O.S. state.

Also, with the Suckeyes playing next Saturday at 3:30 I doubt there's a huge crowd.
People that root for other schools over their own disgust me.
Amen, brother. Not this guy. I appreciate the Buckeyes and I might try to catch the end of it but this is my #1 team.

This team is going to give BG all they can handle.... They have played and great schedule including holding Toledo to 20 and losing in overtime. If the team hasn't prepared well they will get rolled... I think in a game with talent that is this close... Coaching makes a HUGE difference we will see what Babers has... Thought WKU hand similar talent and we got crushed

The jury is still out on Babers and his staff, in my opinion. Yes, BG has been hit with a lot of injuries; but that's when coaching really can make a difference.60yearsofsicsic wrote:This team is going to give BG all they can handle....
