WTF are you talking about? Babers is 0-0 against UT. Clawson...the guy who built the program...was the guy who lost four straight to UT. How in the hell does any of that impact Babers? And how is UT "so much better than us"? We're the defending conference champs and they finished 3rd in the west last year losing to two teams (NIU and Akron) that we beat convincingly. I understand that you wanted someone else to get the gig...maybe Elko, Durkin or Stud...but is making up stories about other people really a good idea?

Unless Melvin Gordon is going to put on a Toledo uniform, I don't think it is going to get that ugly. The boys are sick of losing to that team. I can promise you that. They will be tuned up and ready to go. Don't think for one second that Toledo hates us more than we hate them. I've been hearing about that game since this summer from the boys. They have a bitter taste in their mouths from last year's game and want redemption (much like the Indiana game).

The real focus is on Akron right now and getting healthy in the time off until we play them.

The goal of repeating as champions is still attainable, so until that changes, give the doom and gloom a rest.

I graduated from BG in 1988. I will freely admit that I do not like Babers. I felt it was a knee jerk hire and made very little sense. He got lucky with a all- American QB and had a remarkable year at E. Illinois. QBs make coaches look good. He had ZERO track record for winning. He had all the pieces in place to have a very good team. at BG. But he makes questionable changes that have hurt the program. The old saying. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

I hate Toledo. It sickens to see how much better their program is than ours. Toledo has NEVER in the history series beaten BG five years in a row until this year. Sadly UT know this and is looking forward to making history. Campbell has no fear of Babers. It's going to get real ugly. Wisconsin ugly. I am just keeping it real.

You might wanna do some research. Babers inherited garopollo who was an ok qb on a terrible team. Babers took a 2 win team to 7 then to 12 wins, and developed jimmy g into what he became. How is that not a track record of winning? It's every bit as promising as what clawson did here.

There is also nothing knee jerk about going out and finding a promising you coaching candidate that had no previous affiliation with the university. Quite the contrary it seems like an educated coaching search that turned up a good candidate. Knee jerk would have been handing the gig to one of clawson's coordinators without going out and finding a Babers type candidate.

I find it hysterical that you're claiming this is a case of if it ain't broke don't fix it but also putting a lot of weight (rightfully so) on the toledo rivalry that clawson could never figure out. Dino is a complete 180 from clawson and I realize that ohio football fans hate exciting offense, but I still believe he's going to build something here.

Or another birdman. You know, fan of our rival who posts around here under the guise of a BG fan ... posting a bunch of crap about our team and our coach while praising our rival and their coach. Pathetic attempt to make it seem to board visitors, including families of potential recruits, that BG is poison. One has to stoop pretty low to be a birdman.

Dr Falcon? Dr of what? BS? I am very disappointed in yesterday's O effort. The D is playing so much better but the O was nowhere to be found and that was disappointing. Last year at this time we were 5-3, 3-1 MAC and ran the table to win the title. WMU handed slUT the game when they played. Yeah they've won 4 straight over us but that stops this yr. we have two+ weeks to heal up some injuries and rest. All the focus will be on Akron as a win there puts us firmly in the drivers seat. Those folks that are harping about the inability to win championships with a hurry up, no huddle offensive philosophy are aware that Gus Malzahn led a team to the national championship using this very offensive strategy not more than 11 months ago, right? And this with a comparatively few teams running this sort of system.

Sorry that ya'll don't get to watch a team run the ball and eat clock for 60 minutes anymore. SOrry that the games take nearly 4 hours nowadays. This is football in the 21st century. Get used to it. As rules continue to change to reduce injuries, and as we finally start to get rid of that nonsense about a kid being a pussy for sitting out after he gets nailed in the head, this type of football is going to continue getting more and more prevalent.

Babers may end up being the worst head coach in the history of BG (although I doubt that). He may go on to be a horrible failure. Or he could go on to win 5-6 games every year and we ride him out a la Orr, because that's what BG does. No matter WHAT direction his career path takes him his SYSTEM will not be the primary reason why. Don't like how cocky is? Fine. Don't like the undisciplined play of his team? Fine. Don't like the color of pants he wears on Tuesdays? Fine. But to sit here and spew time after time that you cannot win with this system is just pure ignorance of the direction the game is moving.

My god this used to be a place where you could have an intelligent conversation on BG sports. Now all we get is 2 posts a week when the team wins and a bunch of whiny dolts thinking how much smarter they are than the AD every time we lose.
