I've been running into this a lot lately -
There are 3 Instagram Videos currently on the attached webpage. I can only view the top one, and the videos cover the game report, even when I click on the "Print Friendly Version" (although it changes the appearance a little).
Is there something I can do, or is it "them"?

Hi bgbill -- I apologize for the problems you are having. It is a known issue with Internet Explorer (at least version 11.0). Our web company is working on a fix. For the time being, we have not run into any problems with other browsers. If you are not using Internet Explorer and are still having the issue, please let me know so that we can continue to address this with our web company.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Re: IT help : bgsufalcons.com
It seems to me that the quickest fix for all involved would be to STOP POSTING THE VIDEOS TO BGSUFALCONS.COM VIA INSTAGRAM. But, hey, who am I? Although looking at all of the other sports, none of them are using Instagram to post videos on BGSUFalcons.com so maybe I'm on to something...

Re: IT help : bgsufalcons.com
I never really had a problem with it. That, however, isn't the point. The site should work regardless of the browser and right now it doesn't. Given that IE is still quite prevalent, I deem that a problem.

Re: IT help : bgsufalcons.com
no, the point is that they shouldn't have to stop posting with instagram (your suggestion) just because IE sucks.
I'm sure they'll work to find a solution for IE, but in the meantime there are plenty of free and easy-to-install browser alternatives.

Re: IT help : bgsufalcons.com
We are working on a solution until a fix is found for IE. We have moved the Instagram videos to the bottom of the story, rather than at the top, so that they are no longer overlapping with the story for those who want to continue to use IE to read the stories. Thanks for everyone's help!

Poltergeist, your customer service skills are lacking. As an IT professional (yes, I am one) it is the goal to make sure that what is being presented is viewable by all who attempt to view it REGARDLESS of the medium used. The site should have been thoroughly tested using all popular browsers prior to being rolled out. The fault lies with the presenter not the user.
Many users know what they know and have no desire to change; nor should they have to.

Thanks, BGSU SID, that helped quite a bit. I didn't know that Berge's postgame was hiding behind the Instagrams.
I realize that BG is Apple to the core, and I would have bought one during this past year when I bought new laptops, but they don't make a 17".

Re: IT help : bgsufalcons.com
this is getting amusing.
if you are an IT pro, you know that bugs/conflicts are commonplace.
of course they should be (and are) working on a workaround for IE.
to suggest that all should be deprived of instagram videos because one crummy browser doesn't play well with others is ludicrous. many of us enjoy viewing the videos with our quality browsers, and we don't need to be punished by your draconian "solutions".

Re: IT help : bgsufalcons.com
I was suggesting one possible solution until they figure out what the problem is. They came up with a work around in the meantime, good for them. My point is that the site never should have been rolled out without proper testing. This bug is pretty glaring and should have been easy to test for given that everyone who runs IE knew about it 4 weeks ago and the SID was made aware of it at that time.
There's nothing draconian about proper testing and rollout. I've been doing it for about 30 years now and it's worked well for me. Given that they're working on a solution and they have a workaround, I'm pretty much done here. If you want to continue to be amused I guess you'll have to amuse yourself.

I'm getting along just fine with two empty soup cans and a long piece of string.

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."
