Did you know......

Did you know.....

The Falcons have won 11 in a row and 15 of their last 16 games against MAC East rivals. The only East Division team to beat them in that span was Kent State. … BG also has won its last six games played in November and has not allowed more than 10 points in any of those six contests. … Defensive tackle Taylor Royster is tied for the NCAA Division I FBS lead with four fumbles recovered. … The Falcons rank 15th nationally in turnovers forced with 19. BG also trying to be a repeat champ since Miami did it in 2003 and 2004.

And did you know...... game time temperature A balmy 31 degrees!!!!

Somebody earlier this week said that Kent State has had more success against BG than most other MAC opposition in recent years. I thought to myself, that can't be right. But here's the proof:

BG vs all MAC opponents in the past decade (starting with 2005 season):
1.Massachusetts - 3-0
2.Ball State - 2-0
3.Buffalo - 8-2
4.Eastern Michigan - 4-1
5.Akron - 6-2
6.Temple - 2-1
7.Ohio - 6-4
8.Kent State - 5-4
9.Miami - 5-4
10.Toledo - 3-6
11.Central Michigan - 1-2
12.Northern Illinois - 1-2
13.Western Michigan - 0-4

We've never lost to Massachusetts or Ball State within the past 10 years. Amazing fact, Ball State has NEVER come to the Doyt in the past decade. I knew the MAC office was poor with regards to scheduling but that's just crazy. Beyond those two, we've really owned Buffalo, Eastern Michigan, and Akron. Buffalo's last win against BG was 2010, EMU's last was 2008, and Akron's last was 2006. Really Kent has played us much better than any of those teams, on par with the Miami Redhawks and the Ohio Bobcats, who have similar records.
