I saw a couple of tweets from Matt Johnson back in October. First from Oct 20th saying he was visiting his hip doctor in Pittsburgh. The next 2 from the 21st said he could put weight on it and start driving and looking forward to spring ball. Then said he was so happy for this second chance. Made me think that he would not be having surgery-just rehab. I don't know this for sure but those tweets seemed to suggest that.

Is Knapke expected to be good to go too? I assume so since he grinding it out against WMU after the hit he took. Also, does anyone know if Johnson decided to have surgery or not? Babers said a few weeks ago he didn't know anything about Johnson's decision on what to do. He did say he was hopeful he's be ready to go in the spring. As for Colvin, I can't see him coming back at all this year and I have no idea what his situation is. Unless he gets this year back and can/wants to come back next season, we may never see him again.
Knapke is good to go, no idea on Johnson. I'm not sure Babers has the authority to comment on in light of HIPPA laws.

Good to hear KMan is good to go. It sux Colvin has been out so long...SR year and all. I really hope he plays again. He played as a true Frosh so I'm thinking a medical RS could be a possibility. Guess it depends on his condition.

Let's get to InfoCision Stadium. We have a chance to firmly take control of the East and our destiny. After the start of the year and all the adversity, I think it kicks ass to see this team on the brink of going back the title game. Freakin eh...BTW, I read we are a 6 pt dog. Anyone know a bookie?

My 2 cents..

Dress him, but start Coppett & Givens & let them run wild. Only use Greene if we need a change of pace, etc.

According to Twitter, he was in street clothes with a walking boot on his foot.
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Was Matt Johnson still on crutches? Thought I saw someone on sideline on crutches, just not sure if it was him or not. If it was, this seems like an exceptionally long healing time.

Darrell Hunter didn't start and didn't play either tonight. I think I remember him getting hurt in the Akron game. I have no idea what happened to him or what his status is.

Yeah, we missed Lockdown out there. Nick Johnson had a rough night but he and Clint Stephens are really stepping up for true freshmen. We really need Greene and Coppet next week as well.

We finally have an answer as to what is wrong with Colvin. Sounds like at first his career looked to be over, but now it sounds like we might have him back next year! Excellent news! Best of luck to him getting back on the field next season!

Does anyone know exactly what the problem was yet? I remember reading through his twitter timeline a while back and it sounded like it was a potentially career ending injury. If that was the case, then I'm not surprised by the extended healing time.

Honestly, it seemed like every other play, a BG player was going off the field with an injury in that game. It made me wonder if Akron's players weren't twisting ankles on the bottom of the pile. But they'd never do that; I mean Coach Bowden would never condone such a thing...
