One aspect of BG basketball that I expect to change is the 7-15 minute lapses where the team would fall flat and and not generate any offense. With the added intensity on both ends of the court, and the depth, we'll consistently play 40 minutes of basketball. Under Orr, it seemed like the team was never able to gather itself when things got tough.

Agreed.

I also have to say that the new guys on the roster just had a different "LOOK" to them as players. The systems certainly looked like it'd be a bit of a work in progress before we were really ready to flow, but the new guys just looked more like D1 players than we're used to having. Part of not having those stretches might be alleviated just simply by having competent PG play; something Orr never seemed to find. I don't want my PGs to be my #1 scoring threat, but it sure is nice if your primary ball handler has the ability to occasionally make a play to get a bucket, or find an easy shot for a teammate. Much like a QB in football, you need the PG to occasionally be able to do things on his own. We haven't had a PG that knew how to play the position since Pardon.

BG is up 47-31 at the half! There were games last year where we didn't break 40 for a game! All kinds of players are seeing the floor and producing! Depth and talent - finally! No more sitting on scholarships and putting guys on the floor who can't score or play.
GO BG!!!
