Love this!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Can someone print the translated version here? I'm not finding an English version. And please don't tell me to download chrome, because it's not going to happen. I tried opening it in Chrome at work and it was still in French. :?

you don't need any special browser to translate, just do a google search on the URL (any browser) and there should be a 'translate this page' link.

-------------------
but here it is:
"No one is a prophet in his own country," says the proverb. And this is also true in hockey, it seems. So far this season, the top scorer in the NCAA College Hockey (NCAA Division 1) Kevin Dufour, a native of Beauport left winger who has become a star on the campus of Bowling Green University in Ohio.

Dufour is a sophomore (sophomore) in Bowling Green, a public university with a long tradition in hockey. After 10 games this season, Kevin Dufour claims 9 goals and 1 assist. The season is still young, but in terms of goals, it compares the rhythm that kept last season's phenomenal Johnny Gaudreau, who was then in his third year in the uniform of Boston College. This season, Gaudreau rage in the uniform of the Calgary Flames.

"My generation seems wrong not unbalanced when you see I got a single mention of aid compared with nine goals, but I'm sure it'll get sorted. For example, I had a season of 35 goals and 34 assists when I played in college St. Lawrence (Quebec) in the past. I am not only a marker, "said left winger 22 years.

"Kevin has a highly developed instinct offensive. He sees the ice things that others do not see. And it is a natural marker. His explosiveness on skates allows him to generate very rapid transitions in the neutral zone and raise the tempo of a match. He has made tremendous progress since joining us last year. It plays much better without the puck, and it is now very difficult to remove the disk when it has possession, "said Bowling Green coach Chris Bergeron (an American).

* * *

Dufour operates in a trio led by another Quebecer Pierre-Luc Mercier, which was developed by the Cégep André-Laurendeau in LaSalle. Mercier watch a record of 1 goal and 7 assists in 10 games.

Dufour and Mercier have probably not difficult to develop a complicity on the ice. They study both in finances, in addition to being roommates! They are always so say all.

Offensive exploits have greatly contributed to propel the Bowling Green Falcons in 19th place national ranking, something that had not seen in seven years.

"It's been 15 years that I lead teams at the university level, and this is the first time I have the opportunity to lead the French players. We are lucky to have them! And I hope their success will allow us to recruit others, "says Chris Bergeron.

Both on campus and in the town of Bowling Green, which has just over 29 000, everyone speaks of Kevin Dufour. In particular, he inspired his new "followers" to join on Twitter, under the banner #ChurchOfDufour (the Church of Dufour). Go take a look. The cries of the heart, humorous and very enthusiastic supporters of the team are great fun.

I want some have inserted the name of Johnny Gaudreau early chronic because the stories of two hockey players do not compare at all. Gaudreau, an American, was a star wherever he went during his ascent in the world of hockey. But Kevin Dufour, he is virtually passed away under the radar in the minor hockey system in Quebec. It owes its presence in Bowling Green with a mentor and a great determination.

"I participated in the camp of the Midget AAA team Séminaire Saint-François there six or seven years. And I was the last player cut off, even though I had recorded the highest number of points during the preseason. When I introduced myself to the Midget AA team, the coach would not take me because he had already completed his alignment. I found myself midget CC, "said Dufour, still incredulous.

"I collected 130 points in the CC, and the Victoriaville Tigres invited me to their camp. But I was cut off after two days. When you come from CC midget, we do not look at you a lot in a major junior camp. "

After his internship midget, Dufour decided to continue his journey to the College of St. Lawrence, in the new collegiate league. This is where he fell on coach Mike Labadie. "Mike has changed the course of my life. He told me that I could dream of anything other than Major Junior hockey and it was he who sent me to college hockey, "said the prolific striker.

* * *

St. Lawrence won two championships in both seasons Dufour playing for this team. The game, striker has attracted the attention of one of the assistant coaches of Bowling Green, Ty Eigner. In the NCAA, it is almost always the assistant coaches who are responsible for recruiting.

"Coach sent me Eigner play Junior A level in Ontario (Carleton Place) for a year to improve my game. And I came to Bowling Green last season," said Kevin Dufour.

The new star of the Bowling Green Falcons, which is 1.83 m and 89 kg (195 lb 6 ft), insists that he does not intend to meet his extraordinary start to the season and sit on its laurels. When its path is known, we can understand why.

"I do not come from a wealthy family, and my parents made huge financial sacrifices to enable me to study and play here. The coaches made me a 80% scholarship to my first year. And in addition to the help of my parents, I had to work 65 hours a week (in a business pad) during the summer in order to pay my expenses. In the evening, I was working out at the gym alone.

"For this year, Bowling Green gave me a full scholarship. I was able to reduce my work week to 45 hours last summer, "he says proudly.

"Kevin Dufour is an extraordinary young man who works all the time, constantly. And this is a very good student. Nobody expected him to undertake the season with 9 goals in 10 games. At the same time, when the amount of work he has shown it knows, it can hardly be surprised. It has taken steps to succeed, "concluded coach Chris Bergeron.
