If there is a rematch In Detroit, I like our chances. Hunt is a beast, but I think we will click a bit more on offense.

Is that being aggressive or that play just one of the 5 plays we repeat over and over each game? I mean I get what your saying but all of those passes are very low percentage. Doesn't really matter if the guy is always open if you can't get it to them. Kind of reminds me of Stone Hands from the movie necessary roughness only a little different.

Let's not forget: we are now into a second straight recruiting class that has NEVER experienced a win over Toledo. They simply don't know how to do it.

This is getting very John Cooper-esque in how strange some of these losses have been the past 5 years.
I was thinking the same thing about John Cooper.....

Hard to win a game when you don't have a lead, which BG didn't all night. Playing catch up gets you in trouble on the road. Been a theme in the past five games with Toledo, they jump out to an early lead and don't look back.

That game suckered comoletely, but the eternal optimist here has to point some thing out. Our own mistakes cost us. Correctable mistakes, like overshots, missed blocking assingments, and some missed tackles. These are very correctable problems. We have two weeks to correct them. Fix the mess and let's win our last three to hit 10 wins again.

Oh ... and I hope Calloway starts against BSU. Cannon of an arm there. He throws the deep ball kinda like Omar Jacobs. I know he doesn't know the offense completely yet but I think he knows enough to start the rest of the way. Ton of upside to him.

Near miss after near miss. If we catch half of those near misses we probably win by 14. Instead, we get this. Another year to reflect on how we couldn't do it but Toledo could.

It will be six losses in a row if we play them in MAC Championship game. Toledo played horrible tonight. They just have better talent and better coaches. Moreover, they have zero fear of us. The Rockets expect to beat us. We hope to beat them. Take away the TOs and we get blown out.

Perhaps next year if Johnson is back and healthy. However, as long as Coach Campbell is there we will NOT be seeing too many victories over them. The man can flat out coach.
Complete the dropped TD's and we win...that's how football works

That's fine. They better start preparing both guys in practice though.

Why has Heath Jackson completely disappeared from the offense? Did he even play? He's good with the medium ranged passes which we desperately need to move the chains.

Not necessarily. Toledo executed when they had to. If we would have taken the lead they would have got more aggressive with their play calling. Moreover, we got TOs that greatly kept it closer than it should have been. Maybe next time UT gets the TOs and opens up a huge lead. The bottom line is they are better than us. They have a better program from top to bottom. They expect to beat us. We hope and pray to beat them.
I don't think they have a better program or players. I do however think they have better coaches and that was apparent tonight.

Dr Falcon..gimme a break..it was a seven point game and both teams had moments where they looked like JR high teams. Take that "they would have killed us" crap back to Toledo. On an unrelated note... Is Matt Campbell cool with this crush you have on him? It must kill you when you see him with his wife....

It wasn't coaching. We have a really talented team and gutsy, smart coaches. This is a good program with room to grow. We play for championships. But we are weak at QB. With Matt Johnson, we win this game. Knapke tried but he couldn't execute.

I hope we can give Callaway some work against the Cards and see what we have.

We?

Besides...our coaching had us in position to win. Our WR's were open behind the defense all night so it certainly wasn't a scheme issue. We just lacked the QB play to take advantage of it. Having out top 2 RB's riding the pine didn't help.
