It's sad to see so many fair weather fans that only come to games when we play big name teams like Indiana at home in Football or Ohio State home in Hockey. You got a football team that's paying in the MAC title game and going to another bowl. As well a hockey team that is climbing in the national polls and potentially could play in the NCAA tournament this year. Stop Watching games at home or driving to Columbus, Ann Arbor or South Bend to support teams on the weekends that you never got a degree from. Be proud of the school you attend and support them because before you know it as a student it will be over and you'll say "I wish I went to more games".

GO FALCONS!
There's no way 5300 people were in the Ice Arena for the OSU game. I was at 5 of the top 6 largest crowds (might've been at the 6th, but not sure). Even with the stupid empty tables screwing up the standing room, people were only 3 or so deep standing behind them. Previous 4500+ crowds were 5-10 deep, from steps to steps. How they figured another 300 people over the old record is beyond me. I've often wondered if 1+1 still equals 2 in the ticket sales department. I also thought there was more than 2500 there both nights this weekend. I would have guessed closer to 3500 than 2500.

Given that this was Bemidji, I thought that attendance at these games was pretty good. In the past we would have been lucky to have 1500 in attendance for an unknown opponent like this.
no doubt they track student attendance--I just prefer not to swallow unsubstantiated internet memes.

I'm with pdt1081 on this one. I don't believe either the 5303 total or the 3000 student numbers for tOSU game.

I've been there for most of the games that were at or near capacity...people standing 7-8 deep on the south end, people sitting in the aisles, etc. There were scattered empty seats throughout the reserved seat sections.

The 3000 student thing is just plain ridiculous. Do the math. There's 19 rows in the student section, 24 seats in each. That's 456. Now, I realize that the students spilled over into the north end zone...but in order to get 3000 they'd have had to filled that student section the equivalent of SIX times.

Keep in mind...the people responsible for the count are the same team of boobs that were responsible for the cluster**** at the parking lot and ticket window. I was 40 minutes from the corner of Mercer and Wooster to my seat, and even with a parking pass had to park on the grass by the soccer stadium...all those extra cars were NOT students.

Just telling you what I was told. It's kind of difficult to miscount the number of students given the fact that they have to scan their IDs. Considering that all 4 corners of the main stands are general admission as well as the whole north end of the arena, which holds 2000 by itself, I don't find it inconceivable that there were 3000 students there. Then, again, what do they consider students? Just BGSU students with an ID, or are the youth ticket sales included in that?

We can't let the Bemidji game go by without at least a comment about the freshmen triplets.
They were valiant in defeat.
