I was mildly surprised to see Roger Lewis named first team all-MAC. He is of course extremely talented -- personally, I think he may end up playing on Sundays -- but he hasn't been quite as dominant as I expected this season.
Any other reactions?

Was surprised by that too. Was great in September but has been rather ordinary since with a lot of key drops.
Re: Seven All-MAC Falcons
Johnson should have made 1st team All-MAC and Schweiterman should have been on there somewhere.
It's interesting that 3 complete all-league teams are named. Is this the norm in other conferences? There's plenty of opportunity for recognition.

Thought Gabe should have been first team. 100 tackles, 15 for loss, 2 INTs, and a blocked kick. All coming off a torn ACL.
3 time all MAC linebacker, 1st team as a sophomore, 2nd as a junior even after missing 1/2 the season, 2nd as a senior. People had him in the discussion as defensive POY discussion last year before he was injured. Best linebacker at Bowling Green since?
He's also just a super guy. Probably my favorite player since I became a fan of BG.

Tate should have been on the second team ahead of that bum from Toledo.

The media seems to fall in love with a team every cycle and overrate them. Last year it was NIU. Going into the season it was (unfortunately) BG. Now it's WMU, with a whopping 11 all-league players and 3 major award winners despite having just 8 wins. Bill Cubit, their previous coach, won 7 the year before they fired him.

These things largely don't mean anything, and I'm sure most of the media who voted on these things only saw some of these players once and relied on stats to fill in the rest.
