Such a poorly coached team. Lots of restless fans here in the seats.

Will be interesting to see if the blotter picks up this spring. When that happens it Gregg 2.0.

That was amazing to see Tate run on there and kick it through in 4 game seconds. But, yeah. Next time: Spike!

According to radio, NIU had 12 on the field. They said that we were probably trying to catch them with that penalty and move the kick in closer. Don't know if it's true, but makes sense...

I was hoping that playing indoors would help the offense and Knapke would get some confidence. Unfortunately that hasn't happened.

The defense has been fairly solid and I'm thrilled to be down only 10, but I just don't see how we shut them out and scratch for 10 more points with this offense.

So you would risk not getting a shot in hopes of catching them with too many? No way. Dino had no clue it was a first down.

Too much negativity in this thread about coaching. If Johnson is under center this team is leading at the half. The coaches aren't perfect but they are trying. Clever drive at the end there.

Would not be surprised at all to see an onside kick on the 2nd half kickoff. We haven't stopped them so what'd the difference if they start at the 25 of at midfield. And don't say 25 yards.

This is so ridiculous and shows so little understanding of the Gregg Brandon era I don't know why I'm even honoring it with a response.

This team has too much talent to play this badly for such a long stretch....

Just throw bombs and hope for the best.

Seriously though going fast is our only hope. Knapke doesn't have to think that way and can throw quick hitters. When he takes his time at the line and reads the defense it's hopeless.

Negativity about coaching. Personally I think there isn't enough negatively. We had a top defense last year. This coaching staff ruined that. Yes we lost players but we went from one of the best to the worst rushing defense in the nation.

Agreed. There is only so much a coaching staff can do with a qb struggling as much as Knapke has. Especially when the ol cannot block and the DBs just let every 5 yard our turn into 10+ in the two minute drill.

If the DBs had actually tackled somebody it'd be 13-7 even though we were losing the turnover battle -2. That's not bad coaching...it's bad execution.
