We should decline all bowl offers and make the announcement that the embarrassment of not going to a bowl when guaranteed one is less than the embarrassment of the severe beating we will receive.

Pissed or not the extra practices are clearly needed. We need to accept and figure out how to get some answers.

Boise is where the conference should be sending the school whose fans are least likely to travel, regardless of the location.

That school may be Bowling Green. I haven't seen our fans this angry about the state of the program since Gregg Brandon was coach, if then. (I personally think the anger may be an overreaction, but, in the main, this is where fans are right now)

So I guess I hope for Boise. At least the empty seats will be understandable.

Of course, if the conference really is trying to put Ohio in a bowl game, then maybe Ohio should go to Boise. Their fans are surely even less enthused than ours right now.

I want a bowl game simply for the extra practice time. The last three weeks have been a huge disappointment....but take the bowl bid and go from there.

And there it is....I don't have the $$ to make the trip this year as we have a spring break gig to Florida to plan. Hopefully we end this season with a W.

But probably our best shot at a win of any of the MAC bowls. This is a "must-win" game in terms of trying to end this current three-game losing streak and our ongoing four-game bowl losing streak.

It will basically be a road game. S Alabama should bring a ton of fans, I would be surprised if BG has more than a few hundred.

Be nice to finish the year with a W. But extra practices is all that really maters. Saw a few players on Twitter mentioning they were happy they got a full 3 week Christmas break. It seems they're as excited as we are.

After seeing the matchups, the only game the MAC should feel confident about is Toledo. NIU, CMU, and WMU could all be taken to the woodshed.

Totally agree 33. We need something positive to build on for next season.

Our guys are going to have to come out and play like they want to be there and want to win. This is USA's first ever bowl game so you know those guys are excited as hell to play in it. I just watched their press conference about the bowl announcement in front of a packed room and their university is excited. The question for me is, is BG??? We'll find out come Dec 20 when we're either Camellia Bowl champs or a 7-7 team the lost 4 consecutive games to end the season.
GO BG!!!

This matchup makes sense. It's winnable for both schools, and South Alabama will bring a crowd, so they don't have to lean on our demoralized fans.

A win would be a nice way to finish.

USA lost four of their last five and we've lost three straight.....not exactly a case of two teams peaking at the end of the year. On th e plus side...it's on a Saturday night. Should have no problem working in a Myle's and/or Campus Pollyeye's run in before kick off

Recruiting is the name of the game incollege football....like it or not, going to ANY bowl is a recruiting tool as well as Babers said, a chance to see more of your 2's and 3's...i'm just as as upset/ disappointed/ P.O. Etc as most of us are.....but look at what we lose on defense this yr. There is a reason that most of our verbals so far are on that side of the ball.
So pull a WMU, and recruit like crazy with promise of early P.T. being a realistic sales pitch. Think Clawson's 2nd yr with a Lot of young kids playing. How'd that turn out.
