BG Equestrian Club

Post by graceful »

So here's the deal..............

Some equestrians have been hanging out each Tuesday over in KAB trying to get BG an Equestrian Club :D

It's almost "official" but we're looking for a lot of support!

If anyone has any advice on recruiting, finding sponsors, wants to join, would like to make a donation... please let me know!

We are hoping to become a team by the fall and compete against other schools in our region (Findlay, OSU, Michigan, etc)

I'd be interested in getting together with y'all after Presidents' Day.

Are there many breeds represented or is it more western breeds? Doesn't matter to me. I enjoy them all. I announce mainly Morgan/ASB shows, but enjoy the western breeds as well.

Sounds like fun!

I wasn't aware there was an organizational fair on Presidents' Day.

Where is it going to be?

organizational fair

I believe it's in the union ballroom... I would think it's open to EVERYONE but I know it's geared towards recruiting incoming students :-) I'll post on here if the BGEC gets a table or not :-)

They don't have a table. We are not doing a student organization fair as a part of Presidents' Day this year. Trust me - I am the coordinator of the program.

The ballroom is set-up for the various university administrative offices and the six college offices. We'll also have representatives from the Medical College of Ohio and from a few city groups (BG Chamber, Main Street BG, The Link, and Campus Ministries).

You may want to call the Union Administrative Offices and see if there are still any tables available down on the first floor lobby area.

That's great news! While that school up the road struggles with it's numbers, we're growing! When I was supposed to come up for Prez Day we got a ton of snow the morning of and couldn't make it. I'd volunteer, but I'm already working for RCC.

That must have been the 2003 program. We were setting up the Grand Ballroom on Sunday afternoon when my phone rang. My uncle in St. Paris was calling to let me know they had 18 inches of snow. So then the phone calls start flowing and we learned that we would basically have no one from south of I-70 in attendance. Then on Monday morning, we learned Cleveland got hit Sunday evening and that made it a NW Ohio program.

Actually, I think we were fortunate the way things turned out. The first year back in the Union and we learned some things. We were better prepared for last year.

Thanks for vounteering to work with RCC for the day. You're involved. That's all I'm asking for.
