BG V Dayton

Post by Globetrotter »

BG plays Dayton tonight. i was thinking about going but couldn't find anyone to go with so changed my mind.

Dayton is 6-1 with wins over EMU, Miami, Texas AnM, BC and Alabama AnM (76-52). They have a loss to Uconn. On the face of it this looks like a great team but they only beat EMU by 9 and Miami by 4.

1. Smith (11) 6-2 170 SO Guard (7 games, 7 starts) 7ppg, 3.6rpg, 4.1apg, 1.5spg
2. Sibert (24) 6-4 187 SR Guard (7 games, 7 starts) 14.9ppg, 3.9rpg, 31% 3pt
3. Davis K. (3) 6-0 165 SO Guard (7 games, 7 starts) 6.4ppg, 2.7rpg, 2.1apg, 1.5spg
4. Pierre (21) 6-6 230 JR Forward (7 games, 7 starts) 12.1ppg, 6.3rpg, 2.6apg
5. Scott (21) 6-9 215 JR Forward/Center (7 games, 7 starts) 8.7ppg, 7rpg

Bench
Pollard (25) 6-6 210 SO Forward 11ppg, 5rpg

After the start our Falcons have had I'm very interested to watch what Coach Jans has in his bag of tricks for this game. I certainly have enjoyed watching this new brand of basketball and I think tonight will give us an early indication of where this team stands.

I'll be at the game. The Dayton alumni chapter was supposed to put something together, but never did.

Anyone else planning on going? This is a game BG can win. I would be surprised if Holmes doesn't have his way Scott and Robinson inside.

BG leads by 2 with 3 min left! I have already looked at the men's, women's and hock skeds after new year for double and triple headers. Penciled in the men's games at Akron and Kent...

This is great...

We scored just 2 points in the final 10 minutes! BG led almost the entire way too. We totally blew a shot at a big win here. Damn
GO BG!!!

It's tough playing against 8 guys on the floor too! A10 put a little extra in the stripes checks tonight.

Even if so, BG led 50-39 with 10:17 to go and lost 56-52. Refs weren't missing out shots for us.

Being both a Dayton and BG fan, BG probably would have won by like 20 without those two players. The next tallest guy on the team is listed at 6-6. And Kendall Pollard who we believe will be taking over as the starting center is long, but isnt nearly as strong as those two players, but he is really long. Holmes probably would have had a huge day.
