Ernst is down to 2 schools. Any sleuths out there who can figure out which 2?

I know anything can happen but right now Indiana is oversubscribed by 2 for 2015 commitments.Globetrotter wrote:redforeman62

Re: Recruiting 2015
We need Iverson in the worst way. He played against my alma mater last year in tourney and had 30 & 12, with 3 dunks and 4 triples in a Hayes loss.

He's gonna be like Tim Pollitz @ Miami except much more athletic and more range. The typical MAC Star, undersized and undervalued.

Re: Recruiting 2015
Still one spot available for next year. Set in stone for net year
1 Joseph 4-Austin 4
2
3 Denny 3
4 Parker 4-Dickerson 4
5
On roster 2014-15 but not in rotation consistently
Gomez 4
Mayleben 2
Tisdale 3
New for 2015-2016
Hluchoweckyi 1
Andrews 3
Worrell 2
Friday 1
-------------------------------------
I am going to guess that Andrews and Worrell jump right into the rotation. Andrews may start at the 2 or Denny starts there and Dickerson starts at the 3. Worrell replaces Holmes as our Center.
1 Joseph 4-Austin 4
2 Andrews 3
3 Denny 3
4 Parker 4-Dickerson 4
5 Worrell 1
That leaves 2-3 spots open in the rotation. Likely a Guard (Tisdale, Malik, RECRUIT X) and another big (Friday, Mayleben, Gomez, RECRUIT X).
Of that Group (atleast the ones we know) I like Tisdale the best. To me he has the highest upside and I wouldn't be surprised do see him improve when he gets more minutes next year.
Friday seems like another guy who could fit in some role. He seems like a stretch big to me. He shoots 40%+ from three. I just hope he can bang a bit.
Mayleben and Gomez both have the size but at this point we wouldn't want them playing any real minutes.
1 Joseph 4-Austin 4-Malik 1
2 Andrews 3-Tisdale 3
3 Denny 3
4 Parker 4-Dickerson 4-Mayleben 4
5 Worrell 1-Friday 1-Gomez 4
I wouldn't be surprised to see Malik redshirt
Scoring will be our biggest issue next year, as we lose 3 of our top 4 guys. For that reason i expect Andrews to start. I didn't realize what a terrible shooter Joseph has been. I don't imagine we play Austin and Joseph together next year unless one can become more consistent scoring.

Brady Ernst 6'9" 230 lbs PF Reported yesterday that he tore his ACLGlobetrotter wrote:Ernst is down to 2 schools. Any sleuths out there who can figure out which 2?
This kid is interesting. If you look up a few of his highlight videos [including as a big "X" receiver in football], he seems to be a tough kid with a very advanced low post offensive game.
As late as this week - it was reported BG was one of his final two choices, with recent interest from Texas and Iowa [who attended games in the last week]. It looks like he was having a great senior year. Also, I was able to find he sent out a tweet about going to watch the BG v N. Illinois game in Dekalb earlier this year.

Here is one source from January [look at bottom of article] :Globetrotter wrote: Where did you see it was one of his top two choices?

He tweeted about the BG v N Illinois game a few days later [fyi Jans is a twitter follower of Ernst - and many other prospects - interesting]
Here is another source from yesterday [last sentence in article] :

Based on some of the info out there, he was putting up some big numbers this year. I think his high school is a larger school division, don't know for sure. I saw somewhere he is the highest rated remaining 2015 prospect in Iowa. He would be a good get.
Hope he has a speedy and successful recovery from ACL injury

Re: Recruiting 2015
Thats great news. I wonder how a torn ACL might affect his athleticism but I think he could be a stud. He isn't a big athlete now either.
He would fit in nicely next to or as a compliment to Worrell. He looks very fundamentally sound.

Being from Iowa...I wonder if he's related to 1st term Senator Joni Ernst
It's not the fall that hurts...it's when you hit the ground.
