New coaches?
Perhaps I've missed it, but have we hired any new coaches to replace the two guys who left? See new OC's/dc's being hired here and there but don't recall seeing replacements at BG.

Re: New coaches?
I've not heard but Coach Babers spent time at a coaching conference recently so I'd bet he has some people in mind. We should hear soon.

Re: New coaches?
Tough time to be lacking an offensive coordinator.
Re: New coaches?
It looks like Coaches Lewis and Lynch will share OC duties while Babers continues to call the plays. Considering the timing I wouldn't be surprised to see the defensive coordinator come from in-house.
Re: New coaches?
A couple big names just became available to coach running backs after leaving the NFL: former Syracuse/Pitt assistant David Walker and former Temple/Miami assistant Terry Richardson. They are both excellent recruiters.
Re: New coaches?
Count me as unimpressed by the coaching staff Babers has put together. They were extremely young and inexperienced last year and it showed. An upgrade is needed here and I'm not seeing it.
Re: New coaches?
There has got to be at least one new coach coming on board. Our 2 OCs left for Tulsa and as far as I know we have not hired anybody in place. The coaching staff has been shaken up some but I just think you'd have to bring somebody new on board or else there wouldn't be enough staff members in place to handle all of the duties related to the team.
Babers is an offensive guy. I'm fine with him handling a lot of the offensive duties. But our former DC is now a wide receivers coach, and as far as I know we currently do not have a DC. I'm sure hoping a DC is announced soon, and I'm also sure hoping it is not somebody from within.

Re: New coaches?
Since there has been zero news on this front since December 22, perhaps we can speculate where the new DC will come from. Possibilities:
a) someone from the current staff
b) a current Division IA coordinator
c) a current Division IA assistant
d) a current Division I-AA coordinator
e) a current Division III head coach
f) a current high school head coach
g) a former Division IA head coach, coordinator or assistant
h) anywhere else (Australian league, etc.)

They've made startling advances in the field of 3D printing....maybe...just maybe...
