Safety Eilar Hardy will graduate this spring and have one year left to play. His dad says we're a possible landing spot.

I wondered how long it would take him to transfer after the academic investigation at ND. This would be a huge pick up for us!! He is a solid player and was a 4 star out of Pickerington...just was stuck behind a talented group at safety. We need all the defensive help we can get!

Per orangeandbrown and others on twitter....he's heading to BGSU to play with former teammates Roger Lewis and Marcus Milton...who I guess is still here even though he wasn't on the roster last year?

Wow. We have some great talent at linebacker and defensive back at the freshman and sophomore level next year, so having such an experienced and talented guy for these youngsters to look up to is huge. Eilar could have an impact on this team far beyond his play on the field next year.

Seems like a good get. Brown (Tennessee), Rhodes (Baylor), Hardy (Notre Dame) all probable starters next year, with Nicholas (Texas Tech) competing for the backup / starter job depending on Johnson.

The backend of the defense should be stout. Hunter, Johnson, Eilar, Ballew, Gourdine.
