BG wins 61-52.
Ali Mann has a big second half.

A Win at Akron
Akron really hung in there with us the whole game. I feel we should have beat them by a lot more but a win is a win. BG had some great fan support so the trip was worth it.
What I'm upset about is that my dang VCR didn't turn on so the men's game never recorded...

BG hosts CMU Tuesday and travels to Ypsilanti on Saturday for squaring of accounts with the EMU Hurons. ( if ya like Eagles, fine. I still like Hurons)
BG is now 13-2 in their last 15 games...13-2. They are for real and doing special things on the court. Good turnout of Orange...Metz and others had a great time with the Zip band.
GO FALCONS!

I couldn't believe trombone boy was so upset after the game. He really started it with the whole "Yeah, you're cool" statement! Hopefully I'll get to see him again in the MAC tourney to make fun of his some more!Falconfreak90 wrote:Metz and others had a great time with the Zip band.Play me a song there Trombone boy. HAHAHAHA.

The bench was key...
..to keeping us in the game. Most notably, Kelly's nine first half points, and Tene's usual balls (ovaries?) to the wall effort on defense were huge.
"We knew [Akron] is very good at defending the arc," BG coach Curt Miller said, "so we thought points in the paint would be a big deal. We struggled getting the ball inside early, but Kelly Kapferer kept us in it in the first half. I don't know where we would have been without the effort of Kapferer."

Yeah, I though we should've beaten Akron by alot more as well, but a win is a win. Good job for Kapfur getting the job done with a foul laden Honneger. Wish she played more instead of a just in mini crisis situations. Okay people lets get out on Tues. at Anderson for the Central Mich game! And remember students you get in FREE with ID! We need more Anderson Animals Metzger!

Unfortunately.....
I have no more BG students as friends anymore. And I really don't have any friends that can or want to shell out 9 bucks for games. But if I was a BG student , I would be recruiting more Animals for sure. Mabaye you can make some simple flyers advertising the Anderson Animals asking students to join and mabaye have a link to the ay-ziggy-zoomba.com site as well. You could mayabe put these all over class bulletin boards and stuff. I don't know , just brainstorming here.
