That was an impressive road win for Bowling Green. It's the first time this season I have seen the CMU offense absolutely shut down. That is except for the performance of Fowler. However, when Fowler scores 42 it means CMU is in deep, deep trouble because no one else is doing anything. Good luck to you the rest of the way. You pulled off a big win tonight.

Obviously we need work on breaking the press. Was thinking tonight, who do you match up in practice to simulate what we've seen in real time?

I'm sure Jans is 100 steps ahead of us...or should be. And would love to see their next practice.

A "W" is a "W" and a MAC road win to boot.

Take the W and run. Henderson is starting to really play well the last few weeks. Time to get another road win on Saturday.

Huh? No...we did all the handing, but somehow managed to pull it out. Mostly because inexplicably CMU had a guy who was 2-10 from beyond the arc take a game winning three instead of the guy with 40+ points that we could not guard or stop all game just driving to the rim and either getting a layup or free throws to send it to another OT.

The frustrating part was that it seemed like nearly every in bounds pass was having to be made from one of the corners of the court...making it even harder. It was uncanny how many times that kept happening in the second half!

The ball went out on their player late in the game. They called a ticky tack foul on Holmes to get him out of the game. They refused to call a foul on Fowler for the entirety of the second half.

Can't deal with a press....cost us vs. Akron...and almost did the same tonite.... best thing about this team is they DO play defense,,,, though the CMU kid with the 40+ pts. might beg to differ.
EXECUTION.

I'm sure Jans has an inbounds play. But the guys have to execute the play. Guys can't panic about five seconds. You have your primary and you have your backup. We concentrate too much on the primary and then it's too late to go to the backup option.

Since I went to the women's game, I missed most of the action, but I was able to follow the very delayed scores on ESPN as Gametracker never worked.
When I tuned in, I thought Zack Denny was being punished because he pretty much sucked on the inbound plays vs. Akron, but then Dickerson made some boneheaded passes at CMU and in the end, Denny redeemed himself with a couple of steals, rebounds, and free throws.

I hate it when they play "not to lose" instead of just going for the kill. I hope Coach Jans can teach these guys to never let up. Yeah, 20 wins? We won't know how to act after 12 years of futility.

That one is EXTREMELY SIMPLE to explain - Fowler fouled out.
