I agree. At a minimum, if we could get to where the hockey team is, with an even mix of each color, that would be wonderful.

Most of you are probably too young to remember, or saw, what I still think were the sharpest unis we've ever had...quite simply brown jersies w/orange pants. Combined with either of our current helmets I think you'd like the look.


And Hambb, I know you like the gray , but they don't much fpr me...school colors should be used , in diff. Combos if possible.

Chris Kingston said we would have three set of uniforms......all orange, all white, and all BROWN, that we would be able to mix and match. He also mentioned that some of the combinations did not look good, but did not go into detail on the ones he liked and didn't like.

I'd guess Kingston wouldn't like an all BROWN look or Possibly the BROWN pants w/ orange jersies. Cleve Browns used brown pants w/ white jersies, which would've looked OK w/ white or orange stripe on pants. They used all brown, too, which did't go over well w/ fans. Fans also did't like orange jersies either. Now they can focus on dislike of front office goofs I guess.

I'm hoping for an orange helmet and orange pants for every game, while rotating a brown, orange, and white jersey. And when I say orange, I mean old-school burnt orange, not glow-in-the-dark orange. It won't happen, but hey, I can dream. I'm sure we'll add grey and try to compete with Toledo for ugliest alternate uniform in the MAC.

My favorite two combinations ....
White helmet, brown jersey, white or orange pants for home with an occasional throwback to the all orange look of the early 2000s.
Orange helmet, white jersey, orange or brown pants for road.

I never did mind the alternate color schemes to mix things up a bit, but I didn't like brown getting completely pushed aside.
With that said, as long as the team is playing well and is exciting to watch, I don't much care what color scheme they wear. Unless it's God awful or something way outside the norm, I don't really pay that much attention.

I agree with MarkL on the home uniforms. I'd go with white hats, brown shirts and orange pants.

I agree. I doubt chrome would work here. It works for some schools. it fails at others (including Miami, where the football players look like they are wearing Christmas tree bulbs designed to look like spandex worn by Van Halen).
