Friday BG 2 OSU 3

Post by Falcon Fanatic »

Tough loss, but they battled hard to the end. Bleeding Orange called me from the Schott and said we got HOSED in the game!! Had a goal called off that he said was CLEARLY shot in, not kicked in or with a man in the crease. Who knows why Shegos waved it off other than Shegos SUCKS and hates BG!!! UGH!!!

GO BG!!
WE NEED THE SPLIT!!!!!
BEAT 'EM SATURDAY!!!!
"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

Ok, the following was posted on USCHO by Mike the Mullet. Does this get anyone inspired to kick the crap out of the smuckeyes tomorrow night. At least Michigoon beat UNO!!

"OSU wins a close one tonight, 3-2. But, we make up no ground on Michigan who held on against UNO for a 6-4 win.

Oh yeah: BG stands for Buckeye Goal, doo-dah doo-dah, BG stands for Buckeye Goal oh da doo-dah day

That was probably the idiot behind us that cheered when osu would miss a check and smoke the [poor quality] boards making a loud noise....as if they had landed a hit on a BG player....

How is that team 1 point behind UM? They owned the 1st period, but after that, our freshman physically abused that team, and they were nothing better than average at best. That goalie of theirs better haev been the 1st star, because he won that game for them. It sucked losing a game 3-3, but you'll have that in teh cheating capitol of the world.

Can't wait to head back down tomorrow and beat them. Just hope that Fairbanks and MSU keep up the 2 point weekends, and MU while MU loses and UNO loses to the weasels, we wont be looking too bad after this weekend. GO Falcons!!! BEAT THE HAIRLESS NUTS!!!!!!

As put by MajorFalcon "You'd think that's the first time they've had a hockey game there." That was quite the interesting experience... who brings their cheerleaders to a hockey game? Also for a crowd of 9,000+ (which I question...) that was the quietest group of hockey fans I've ever been around. The Schott is a nice facility, but it feels more like a pro arena than college. I expect college hockey to be loud and rowdy, this was nothing like that. btw... did anyone see a student section???

The most comical part of the game were the 10 minute delays to replace the glass in one minute of game time. Thank goodness they measured the second one! Those stoppages really seemed to zap OSU's momentum.

All in all, OSU is not that good, how they are rated so high, I'm not sure. Other than they probably get a lot of gifts like the goal Shegos waved off tonight. We did dominate the second part of that game and I can't wait to head back down tomorrow night. Matsumoto looked un-stoppable tonight and Foster had some great chances too. If we play three solid periods tomorrow we come away with a W. And Nick owes me a dollar...

That sux we couldn't get over the hump!! After watching the Cavaliers lose last night at the Gund, I'd much rather have been down in Cbus.

Sounded like the boys played their hearts out. TONIGHT IS THE NIGHT!!

NO wonder I can't stand OSWho in anything...that mike the mullet sounds like a total choch nugget.

Will Siggy be in goal again tonight?

Hope to be in the chat room by 7:30.

GO HOCKEY!!! BEAT OSWHO!!!

BTW, BG is now 0-8-0 vs the hairless balls the last 8 games.

rc_ziggy84good meeting you last night.

Osu blows.

I had 4 & 5 year old kids sitting behind me & my family saying all night "BG Sucks".

yep, from the parkng, to the glass replacement fiasco, to after the game when the ushers did not know where we were to pick up the shuttle bus to the parkng lot, it just confirmed what I alread know about Suckeyes. If my kids ever say they want to go there they better get a job now.

what I do like is you can get a beer in a no-beer college venue. just go up the the club level between periods. Last night they were letting everyone up.

I can't believe the glass is always half empty with you people. You should be pleased that the OSU 300 level music course paid off for this person.

We must hold these things in perspective.
