This is shaing up to be a memorable season for a variety of reasons! Glad I've had a chance to see three games so far! The environment in the Ice Areana is amazing as well! Talons Up!

Man, who would've thought just 6-7 years ago when the program was on life support that Bowling Green would once again have a top-10 hockey program. Kudos to everyone from the alumni and ex-players who donated time and money, students and community members who supported and obviously the coaching staff for doing an outstanding job in recruiting and developing good all-around players. Today is a good day to be a Falcon hockey fan!

"Regarding BGSU, I would think their biggest strength is that they never give up, They never slow down and they battle hard even after the other team scores. We have to be on our game and never, ever take the foot off the gas for a second."

"BG was relentless. It's like they know that a good first pass on the breakout from a defenseman will almost always result in an odd-man rush against them - but they go in anyway and dare you to make that pass. All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

I am so happy for all the BG fans and this program. While everyone at work is blabbing away about tonight's farce of a playoff game, I'm blabbing about how we are in the Top 5.

BG is 3rd in the pairwise rankings after this week! Who would've thought? Our schedule for the remainder of the season looks to be favorable but all of the teams play with a sense of urgency in the second half. Ferris is probably the best team that we'll play here on out and they've been hot and cold (mostly cold) all season. We still have 2 games in hand on MTU and 4 on MSU. Next week MSU plays out of conference so we have an opportunity to close the gap a bit there. We really need them to lose a conference game or two down the line. Ferris came close this weekend but their lack of scoring is killing them. They still have to play MTU so, hopefully, MTU will be able to take some points from them.

MTU moved up to 11th from 14. It probably would've been more except for the fact that NMU, who took 3 points from them last week, got swept by UAH.

We are really well positioned going down the line. The guys have shown a lot of fight these last two series, really is the difference from last year, we still battle hard when the chips are down.

Definitely can't afford to lose more than 1 or two from here on out though, given how weak the rest of our conference schedule is.

Ferris scares me a bit, winning four games in a row over two weekends against the same team is incredibly difficult, even if they are down a bit this year.

We didn't lose any ground in the opinion polls probably because several of those above us also struggled over the weekend.
