Falcons lead 1-0...7:12 left in the 1st. So cool listening to Falcon Hockey at almost midnight. Watching BTN and Michigan State just beat Minnesota on the road.

All three of their goals were just grit and effort. That's a team any fan can be proud to support...they give all they've got."

And AA just scored to tie the game at 2...after BG led 2-0. Why can't we hold leads?? BG does have a 5 min PP right now.

It wasn't pretty but I'm sure not complaining. Glad I managed to stay up for another barn burner!

Glad the boys earned their points to clinch 3rd place, and didn't have to rely on getting help elsewhere.

Absolutely!!! But, thanks to the Egg suckers beating Minnesota, we moved up to being tied for 12th in the PWR!

And how crazy was that 4th goal? Wow!!

GO FALCONS!!

The announcers thought the guys assumed the puck went over the glass. To me it looked like they assumed there was going to be a penalty after our guy (think it was spezia) got shoved from behind into their goalie.

This weekend, next weekend, and possibly even the weekend after. The only way to move UP the pairwise is to:

(A) Not lose
(B) Get help from others

A loss will be absolutely devastating. According to the pairwise, the win quality just won't be there for. Good teams playing poorly, poor teams playing well, however you want to look at it. They are must win games for an at-large bid. I'd prefer just win out the rest of the season (regular and post) and not have to worry about what other teams are doing.

I just watched the game.

Murphy was the one that went behind their goalie. Had their defenseman let go of him before they both made contact with the goalie, it would have been a penalty on Murphy (rightly so). But, when their defenseman decided to put his arm and stick in front of him, and reach around with his other arm, that negated any penalty. The video shows this clearly. As for where the puck went, that's just puck luck. He could try that shot a thousand times and not have it bounce back to him like that again. Can't help but laugh at their coach's interview after the game. "That explaination was just lame. This guy is just........no comment. Just no comment.." Perhaps this will be the last series Kevin Hall gets to ref.

Speaking of Hall, how weak were the calls that led to the 5 on 3? Cooper gets checked into their goalie, who's 5 feet in front of the crease. Then Kucera makes a heck of a play to poke the puck away from a player going to the net and gets called for tripping. I wonder what the minimum prescription is to be a WCHA ref. I'm thinking my -9 may not be strong enough to qualify.
