Simply heartbreaking to have as good of a season as we've had come down to a pair of games decided by a combined three points that keeps us from a bye. Lost by 1 point to Kent State and 2 to Buffalo. We now have to now win 5 games in 6 days to win the tournament as opposed to needing to win just 2 or 3 in as many days. I just see no way of that happening. Even if we can somehow advance that far we'll have nothing left in the tank playing rested teams or we'll find another way to fall apart in the closing moment.

Ball State lost in OT tonight and has now lost 16, yes, 16 consecutive games! If we can't beat them to finally get to Cleveland again then we may as well never will. But with our losing ways at home, coupled with all our different ways to lose a game in crunch time, added to out pathetic track record in the MAC Tournament - including several consecutive first-round failures and flops - we should be very concerned about this game.

Who knows. If that's what he possibly has I wouldn't count on it. Watching the replay I never would have guessed that's what he was experiencing. I would have guessed something with his chin at most. But a concussion from that???

I saw that, he bumped the back of Holmes' head and it looked more like he might have hurt his chin more since he didn't fall directly on top of it, he more bumped him from the side, and Holmes' head was only inches away from the floor when it happened. I saw him bleeding so I assumed he split his chin or maybe lost a tooth but a concussion never entered my mind if that's what happened.

The guy landed on his head and drove it into the floor chin first.. Given the size of the guy who fell in him, the force with which his head hit the floor (and due to the immutable laws of physics, the floor hit his head) must have been tremendous. Frankly, I'm somewhat surprised he didn't get KO'd.
