Recruits update?

Is anyone following the seinior seasons of our 4 recruits? If so how are they doing?

I googled after my post. An incredibly comprehensive site about Jeremy Holland. He looks quite thin. Hopefully he will bulk up because if he is to lineup next to Vandy than we could have problems.

Lionel Sullivan, a 6-foot-6 center who signed with Bowling Green, had 25 points and nine ounds, and Durrell Summers, a 6-4 sophomore, added 10 points and five rebounds for De Porres, ranked No. 1 in Class C.

"We wanted to get inside and push it so they couldn't set up in their zone," De Porres Coach Durand Shepherd said. "That's what was on our plate before the game. Due to that, we're so well-rounded no one really stands out statistically for us. He (Sullivan) definitely dominated today. I was proud of the way we played defense."

Each team attempted 42 field goals; De Porres made 22, Divine Child nine.

De Porres, which never trailed, led 35-22 at halftime, then scored the first eight of the second half. Brother Rice made three three-pointers, two by Matthew Franz, to pull within 45-31 at the end of the third quarter. The Eagles scored the first 13 points of the fourth to put the game away.

6'8" 221# is pretty good size for a HS senior in my bood. I didn't realize he was that big. Add on the freshmand 15-20 and he is a BIG boy!

Uh...he doens't look that skinny. They have at 221 ,so thats good weight for HS senior. He can probably bulk up to to 235 or so. Hopefully this guy has got good ball handling skills cuz we have been missing a 6'8 forward that can take it to the rack and not just stand around and only shoot 3's ala Cory Eynk. Hopefully the same with Sullivan too.

I dont think his picture looks like he is 220. By the way. Vandermeer is listed at 245. He doesnt look like he weighs that much

Coach Stone is putting together an in-season report on each of our kids: (Marschall, Wilson, Sullivan, Holland) and I'll have it to post sometime tomorrow afternoon.

I'm very excited about these new recruits. Considering who we lose next year, I wish they were already here and getting some playing time and experience. But from the sound of it......IF....and I mean a big fat "IF"....they all actually stick around for four years at BG, I think they could turn out to be a very nice core of players for the Falcons.

With the injury to Fitch it is very interesting to think of who will start at PF next year.

The 3 freshman over 6-6 and Lefeld will be in a practice by practice battle as soon as camp begins.

Like someone else said, anything we get from Fitch on the basketball floor is gravy from now on. He is easily my favorite player on the team and if the injuries never hit him he would have been something special on the court. However, even if if he is just on the bench and around the team he will be something special and help shape every falcon around him.

I could see Marschall stepping in at PF. He's 6'8 and going to be great. If that doesn't work, play Matt more and have him and Scott at the 4 and 5 positions. Twin towers right there!!
