If there is an offense in the country more stacked than this one coming into 2015, I'd hate to know who it is. This offense will be scary for opposing defenses. It is frightening to think that for all the great plays that Roger Lewis made, he may be the second best receiver to Robbie Rhodes.
Defensively, the single biggest change is a new coordinator. It seems our new DC is a huge improvement over McCloud. Even with all the losses on defense, I think it is possible our defense will be much more fundamentally sound than last year. At least they cannot be less fundamentally sound than what we saw against WKU.

Nationally, Ohio State.
In the MAC, WMU. They return, Franklin, Terrell, their top 5 receivers, both tight ends and 3 linemen. They could be scary good.

I agree with you on paper, this should be one of the best units in BG history. But, I will take a wait and see approach. The offense last year returned, 9 or 10 guys and was worse than the 2013 version.

The skill positions are elite but everything hinges on the line. They get movement and open lanes in the running game. They protect the passer and give him time to throw. They need to be playing at a high level to make things happen and I like that there's now two full-time coaches to concentrate on just that.

One thing our offense is going to need to do a better job with is scoring points. Last year we really bogged down at times. Or defense is going to need to play better despite the heavy losses.

Linebackers are a scary weak area. We have next to noting there....
