Post by bgbill »

BG Ticket Office has limited amount of tickets for seats in Section 109.
St. Paul Crown Plaza-Riverfront is the hotel designated as the Falcons' headquarters hotel.

Dumb question: Why do they call it the "Final Five"?

When the old WCHA had 10 teams, they would all play in the first round at campus sites, then the five winning teams would go to a 3-day finals. Top 3 seeds would get a bye, day 1, #4 and #5 would play each other to get in the quarterfinals on day 2, then the championship game on the final day.
All is for the best in this best of all possible worlds.

Branding. It started as BGBILL's post. Then, when the WCHA expanded to 12 teams, with 6 teams making it to the second round, they claimed it referred to the 5 games played (similar format to the old CCHA Super Six) at the league championships.

It's still used because the old league administration was too lazy to try and rebrand it, and the current administration came in too late over the summer to try and change it. I look for it to have a new name next season.
