Second look. He has athleticism but doesn't seem to have a great motor or be real tough. Biggest guy on the court but doesn't seem to want to exert himself. I don't doubt he will have a role, I would be surprised if it's a major one early and I doubt he will ever be a star if he doesn't improve his tenacity and basketball IQ. Athleticism and size are there.

Athletic
Sees the floor well and is a good passer
Range on his shot
Lazy up and down the court and on defense
Doesn’t seem to like to bang at all despite being the biggest guy on the court
Looks like he would much rather shoot threes then be in the paint
Does have nice touch around the basket
Doesn’t seem to know role on help d

Have any of you guys in your evaluations thought about fact that this a HS kid who's going to be "coached up" to do many of things you think he's not doing? That's what college staff will be doing, or at least I hope so. :-k

Yes. Thats why it says that. There isn't a foreclosure on these guys, it's just a snapshot of today. Simple as that. Id rather recruit athletes that can be coached up then non athletes.

The early part of this video showed more athletic ability than past videos. My impression is that he is more of a finesse, stretch 4 - not really a true post player.

I believe with Friday being in a division 1 college program, he will end up being in top shape which will translate to looking more engaged/active on the floor. I see a kid that's not in great shape. I’m sure he will be pushed hard when he gets here.

My gut tells me he is just not an aggressive kid by nature. That's OK. The team will need that kind of aggressive mentality from somewhere else on the floor, which I've got to believe Jans will find. Friday can be a good piece and will be a match-up advantage if used in the right spots – I have faith Jans will figure it out.

He almost looks like he isn't trying that hard. Almost as if he is so used to playing lesser talent that things just came to easy. Lets hope Worrell can teach him to bang down low. I don't see that lesson coming from Gomez or Mayleben. Both are pretty passive.

I don't think we will have that problem with Worell.

Did we ever have a definitive word as to why he was redshirted?
