If Marshall doesn't go to Alabama he could go to Texas if that opens up. Also, Hurley could now end up at St. Johns
Reported today that St. John's offered job to Chris Mullins.

I have my extreme doubts Jans is gone after just one year for two reasons:
1. He's only been here for one year. He wants to put a stamp on the program. And the last quarter of the season put a real sour taste in his mouth. He wants his players to win a championship and I think he'll commit to his players at least until they are conference champions.
2. He hasn't really proved anything as a head coach of a big program ... yet. He's had one year as a head coach of a big program and while he basically flipped the W-L record, the team still was only seeded 5th of 12 in the conference tournament. He made a step but he didn't really prove anything. Heck, Orr made big steps in his first two years, so one year of progress does not prove great success. If I were an AD and were looking for a new coach, I'd look at what Jans did this past year and be impressed but not overwhelmed and would pass. But give a few years and I think ADs will be overwhelmed when Jans turns Bowling Green into a championship team.

WSU's AD knows more about him than most. He would be hiring him based on his accomplishments at BG, but what he saw first hand at WSU.

Quite a pay raise for Marshall. Good for him and for the Shockers. Now -let's burn this thread before Jans sees it.... and start a new thread on his mission to build a dynasty here in Falcon Nation! #TalonsUp

And that article shows you EXACTLY why the P5 conferences want P5 teams with sub-.500 conference records in the tourney and not mid-major regular season champions.

Not sure I'd believe that tweet Falcon Commander. I'll look for a better source :D

Kellen Marshall @KelMoney24
Hey everyone! After a long wait, a "source" tells me that my dad is staying at Wichita State!!!

The Wichita State fans were pushing for Jans HARD during the whole ordeal. He was their #1 choice by a mile and they're a group that knows their basketball.

This of course is water under the bridge, but I believe Jans would not have so easily jumped back to Wichita State. Yes, it seems like an obvious decision, especially with all those $$$ available at WSU. But, I like to think that any competitive guy like Jans wants to build his own legacy, not step into someone else's success. He would have been under intense scrutiny and compared all day long to how Marshall did things. Not ideal.

TAKE BG TO ELITE STATUS! It can be done fellow Falcons....
