What about the states with similar legislation?
Re: The MAC Boycotts Indiana
Hmmm. No political or religious discussions allowed in this forum and yet this discussion is both religious and political in nature. I will choose to reply with "No comment".

This law appears to be more or less unique. While the others had the same name, they didn't empower businesses to discriminate against gays and lesbians like this one does.MajorFalcon92 wrote:What about the states with similar legislation?

Supporters of this legislation wanted it, in part, because they believed that "Christian bakers, florists and photographers should not be forced by the government to participate in a homosexual wedding."

Good for the MAC.
The Big10 has threatened to do something similar, I wonder how it would affect the MAC football championship game. Can't imagine the Big10 moving their game outdoors. Ford Field is the only other stadium in their footprint with a dome.

They would continue the MAC on Friday night and have the B1G game on SaturdayFalcon137 wrote:Good for the MAC.

More fallout from the Indiana bill....NY Governor, Andrew Cuomo bans using state funds for travel to Indiana.

Buffalo games / matches @ Ball State are affected. It also means if UB's basketball coaches want to go to the Final 4 they will need to use private funds.

Re: The MAC Boycotts Indiana
I was wondering about what would happen if the MAC really wanted to take a stand and said - NO conference teams would be permitted to play a game in Indiana. Meaning it would put Ball State on the road for all of its conference games until the law was repealed. No non-conference games against a B1G school at their place (Purdue at BGSU????).Falcon137 wrote:More fallout from the Indiana bill....NY Governor, Andrew Cuomo bans using state funds for travel to Indiana.
