Not a late April fools. Simply shocking.
Statement from BG

Man......it's a good thing we haven't lost the last 21 out of 22 to Akron or we'd really be in a hole.....................BGSU33 wrote:What - in - the - hell?!?! ...... I had to read this over a second time thinking it had to be something I missed from April Fools. Nope. Just another dubious day in BG basketball history. This damn program can't get out of its own way anymore. Watching this program try and get up off the floor (which we finally did for one season before this) and stand on its own two feet is like watching the episode of the Three Stooges where the boat is filling up with water and Curly picks up a drill and says "Oh, a water-letter-outer" and drills another hole in the boat. If it's not one thing, it's another. What the hell is next? I liken this program anymore to Centralia, Pennsylvania. On the surface it looks nice, it's quiet, it even has a nice landscape to it. But below the surface it's burning, smoldering and feeding itself as it falls deeper and deeper into an ashy hole it can't ever stop or get out of. That is us.![]()

It's not about us having principles. Based on what I just found out, I'm glad we acted in the way we did and it sounds like we did exactly the proper thing needed here. And when it becomes public, I'm sure we'll all agree. It's about how much deeper this runs. This program has been spiraling for years now and this is just one more negative association with it. You might not get tired of watching and waiting for this program to stop spinning, but I am. It's embarrassing anymore.Flipper wrote:FFS...Get a grip. We fired a coach who screwed up. We have principles...yay for us!
