What Johnson is accused of doing to that woman is a felony in some states. If the accusation is true, he may have almost as much trouble finding his way back onto a football field as William Houston or Ray Rice.

He will plead it down, get a suspended sentence, a fine, maybe community service and then go play for free at some D2 school. If you are 6'2 with cover corner skills and run well, short of killing someone, there will always be someone in this country willing to give you a 4th chance.

I wonder if it's the same girl who scratched his face up in the ealier incident....if so...I'd be much less critical of him if she was acting violently towards him. I know there's a strong "never hit a woman" bias in the midwest, but if some woman swung on me like a man I'd be sorely tempted to check her like a man

How highly rated of a recruit was he? Makes me wonder if he ended up in MAC because of character issues. Purely speculating but we don't usually get over 6 foot tall defensive backs with speed.

2 star player. Rivals doesn't list his other offers. He may have had an offer from an Indiana or Wake Forest type P5 school. But, he wasn't all that highly regarded.

I feel badly for him. I sat next to his parents at the bowl game and they seemed like really pleasant people. It would be nice if Nick can turn things around personally.
