Yeah, we can't let them win in our house!

BG - 84 (fries fail once again)
TT - 73

After such a confidence boosting win, I like the Falcons to give payback in a big way.

Falcons 80, Cardinals 63.

There are certain teams we just don't seem to match-up well against...and Ball State is one of them. Our patient, defensive intensity, good shot selection style of play doesn't match-up well with an athletic team that likes to push the basketball up the court and penetrate off the dribble.

That describes the Cardinals to a tee. It was pretty eveident in our first meeting with them. Hopefully, home court advantage will help us make it a different outcome this time. Plus, Ball State has had games where they have been flat-out horrible.

Home cooking and MAC Center-style confidence means we pull this one out in a close one, 72-68.

Couldn't say it any better. I think we'll get BSU at home, but I'm not super confident. We just don't match up well with these guys at all. They are so quick off the dribble, long, and athletic.

I think the key will be the ability of Soler & Vandermeer to stay on the court & out of foul trouble. Vandermeer in the middle will be huge. We can not underestimate the difference he has made to our defense in the past 3 games. For every shot he blocks he alters 1 more and scares 2 more away from even being attempted. Now opponents have to worry about more than just beating their guy off the middle and finishing. They've got a big guy with some shot blocking prowess patrolling that middle.

Soler is our one guy who can match up athletically on the wing with some of the guys that Ball State brings in. We NEED him out there being disruptive and getting some boards. If Mawel & Scott can stay in the game I like our chances.
