Has he put it together yet?commonsense wrote:Agreed, he had made great connections with the AAU coaches in Ohio this past year. He was well liked and was on track to get some 2016 Ohio kids we no longer have a shot at. Unfortunately, I think most people will be underwhelmed when they see the staff Coach Huger has put together. Having said that I hope he is successful, he has always been a class act.OSUFALCON wrote:Some how some way lets get Mark Downey back as an assitant.

Yes, but hasn't been announced publicly.Globetrotter wrote:Has he put it together yet?commonsense wrote:Agreed, he had made great connections with the AAU coaches in Ohio this past year. Sadly without anyone from the current staff this roster is going to be depleted.

This posted yesterday.
Director of Operations Men's Basketball job posting
https://bgsu.hiretouch.com/job-details? ... basketball" target="_blank
Isn't this usually one of the last positions to be filled in the program? Based on that, I assume we have the rest of the full time assistants hired. If Anthony Stacey and Adam Fisher are in, that leaves one spot not known how it will be filled. In a perfect world it would be nice for one of the Jans staff to return. But, in end Huger has to feel comfortable. I trust the process, just sucks to go through it after such a promising start to the post-Orr era.

I like his background. Here's a guy who's worked his way up from student manager to assistant coach. I like that kind of drive. Jay Wright and Coach L are a couple of good coaches to work for too.

I should apply for that. They're probably making double what I make currently. What's the worst they could say? No?Hdog wrote:This posted yesterday.

That position pays about 20 grand. You work 10 hour days, work 7 days per week from October to March, work weekend nights during the season, and have very little job security. Sometimes you get a coaching position out of it, most of the time not. Maybe the worst they could say is yes. Dave Clarke makes more at Owens than he did at BG in the operations position, AND IT'S A PART TIME JOB.

Did Larrañaga always have the ñ or is that just a Miami thing since he is in South Florida now?

I don't remember anyone using the the tilde during his days in BG, but Larrañaga does have Cuban ancestry. Perhaps living in Miami is allowing him to connect with that part of his heritage a bit more.transfer2BGSU wrote:Did Larrañaga always have the ñ or is that just a Miami thing since he is in South Florida now?
