If those 7 players do indeed all leave, coupled with the 4 we already lost who used up their eligibility, that's 11 players gone from last year. That would have to be close to a record for most departures for a single team. Well, on the bright side, putting together a roster for 2015-16 season for BG will be easy. It can be blank and would be accurate. To think of how good of shape we were in just a few months ago and now this seems like a decade ago. Toledo's record of 4-28, 1-15 from a few years ago could be our goal to top at this rate.

I find it hard to believe they left because of Jans pushing them too hard. Maybe some but Austin, who is the only confirmed transfer was posting pictures with Jans and thanking him.

If they want to bail... ok, fine. It's not like any of those guys will be really hard to replace. We were going to struggle to win with them, we'll struggle without them. At least we'll be closer to having a team that wants to win here.

The only issue is replacing 7 guys from the scraps that are left over. I hope that we are going to blend it with seniors and jucos. I would love it if Denny and Parker stayed for sure but we are starting out with 4 decent sized guys and a solid PG. It's not like we have no pieces.

We've danced around the subject, but the dregs of Louie Orr's FCA recruiting instead of talent based is pretty much what you see leaving. Chauncey left early, and perhaps, some of the other guys would have too, if they had enough nerve.

The presser from last year's loss at NIU with Clarke's comment sealed the deal as far as my feelings toward him and the rest of the team for that matter. I liked how Jans got maximum performance out of this bunch, but toward the end they folded like a cheap suit. Maybe it was fatigue, or rebellion, or they just weren't talented at all. I don't care the reason and I'm not glad to see them go, but it does wipe the slate clean(er).

To be honest, 21 wins was unexpected. Next year a .500 season may be what we get. It's not a reflection on the coaching, just the talent. I hope Huger gets some marquee players, but it's probably not gonna happen in April when the signing period ends next month. JUCO's and 5th year seniors might have to tide us over. The problem is the JOCO's we had this year are also moving on a year earlier (thanks Delvo and Jovan) and our 2nd year freshman who started to show talent can't stand the coaching shock. Well, he was a "set" player and very streaky anyway and I don't think he can play Huger's offense anyway. Still, I do have to give it to him, he was a better defender than shooter, but so was Kraus LOL.

Not to knock the previous coach, but I have a feeling that his performance at the bar wasn't his first and only time.
That's the weather report I hear.

I really can't imagine what's going on in these guys heads. You get the chance to play division one basketball and you just hand it back. I would hope the former staff told them this is a bad idea even if there are hard feelings.

As of this morning, C Josh Gomez now listed on the transfer list on Jeff Goodman ESPN blog. Coupled with Andrews de-committing, that completes the 7 talked about earlier. How reliable is this Jeff Goodman guy for his info?

I bet the incoming freshmen are excited - more minutes available than they thought possible. I think Wiggins will see a lot of minutes now.

I'm personally not a fan of Goodman, but that being said, he is one of ESPN's lead college hoops reporters for a reason, he is USUALLY very reliable.

Wiggins and Worrell could start 4 years here and I wouldn't be surprised. To be perfectly honest I am very excited about this year. I like these rebuilding projects. Last year was fun because there were fresh faces. This year could be the same. I hope we get Parker and Denny to stay. That's a decent starting five IMO.

Before the success this past year, many were wishing we could "clean out" the roster like is now happening.

Good to hear about Tisdale. The athletic department was tweeting photos of him attending some awards banquet (the Ziggies, the Dundies, I'm not sure) and it would be highly unusual to do that if he wasn't planning to stay and play next year.

We won when the practices were tough and lost when the practices were easy. I vote for tough practices.
