Re: Recruiting 2015 (After Huger Hire)
Just for funsie I decided to use the What If Sports Sim-matchup of Albany versus top teams in the MAC in a best of seven series on a neutral site like the tourney. Albany is swept by Buffalo 4-0, CMU wins 4-1, Toledo downs the Great Danes 4-2, Akron stuffs them 4-1, and BG itself ekes out a 4-3 series win. Albany only beats Kent State 4-2. I believe that Albany would make a lot fewer NCAA tournament bids if any if they were in the MAC due to the competition and certainly not 3 years in a row.

You might be right, BG might even be better than Albany. And like I said the MAC is far superior to the AE, Albany probably doesn't win the MAC as much as they win the AE, maybe never like BG. My point is to a recruit, you have a school on one hand that hasn't been to the dance since 68' and on the other hand a school that has been 5 out of the last 10 years with 3 wins. One school has had 3 coaches in three years, the other has had the same coach since 01' who has won NCAA tourney games 3 years in a row.
But forget Jamir, he didn't choose us when Huger took a private jet to come see him, lets hope Alcegaire is better.

This team seems shrouded in mystery again. Back to the days of Orr.

What...specifically (i.e not just saying "use twitter") ... would you like to see Huger do differently?

I'm not sure I would like to see Huger do anything differently. I would like to know why six players, nearly 50% of the team, were listed as transferring and are still listed on two very reputable sites.....Flipper wrote:Globetrotter wrote:This team seems shrouded in mystery again. ......who is actually returning and who is not, why they decided to leave if they are leaving. We have 3 different news organizations that cover this team. It would seem a phone call or 2 could clear this up. All we have is the statement "we have not signed releases for anyone." It completely ignores the fact that 2 reputable places have a list of 6 players transferring. It might be that Huger is more guarded. It might be that the media is too busy/uninterested/think they answered the question. I don't know. All I know is what I wrote. We had an idea of what was going on with Jans. Under Orr we had no idea who we were recruiting, why we weren't using a 13th scholarship or if DeMarkeo Lyshe was on scholarship. This feels a lot more like Orr than Jans.
Re: Recruiting 2015 (After Huger Hire)
So, you want total clarity less than a month after a new coach is hired, when the previous coach was fired unexpectedly. Good luck with that in the transfer culture that is college basketball. I'd suggest taking a month or two off from those reputable places and revisit your "dream roster" about mid July.
Re: Recruiting 2015 (After Huger Hire)
From the information I have, it looks like the only one of the current players that is leaving is Dickerson, and that is from a very reliable source.
