I posted in the other thread, but I heard from a reliable source that Delvin was gone whether Jans or Huger or (fill in the blank) was head coach. Ya gotta go to class and pass tests :-)

There was probably a lot more private abuse going on than what we saw publicly. It's entirely possible that 6 or 7 transfers were going to happen if Jans had stayed. Since the abuse didn't just happen at the end of the season, I'm guessing that there were more than just the ONE player who was ABSOLUTELY leaving if Jans had stayed.

Anyway, with this crisis out of the way, we can go back to our regular flaming :-)

I think it's going to be exiting to see the new style of play that next year's team has. I assume coach Huger knows how to have his players ATTACK the basket once they break the press instead of trying to set up some B.S. half-court offense that gives the defense time to get back.

Sorry Globetrotter if you've already went over this and I didn't see it, but if everyone but Delvo is back how many scholarships do we have left? Just one?

What I just don't understand is how hard this is to clear up. I sent a message to verbal commits to update and they sent me an email asking for my source. Its very odd that we have no source from the media except a tiny blurb in this article http://www.bcsn.tv/news_article/show/512788" target="_blank. I can't very well tell him people on a message board told me they met the coach and he told them. It's not that I doubt you, it's the absurdity that there hasn't been anything more official. I also don' understand how asking for more clarification is somehow a huge negative.

Globe, these sites are not exactly overly professional about the accuracy of their data. What energy they do have would probably be dedicated to big-name programs first. I stopped taking these types of sites seriously a long time ago. They create more confusion than real information.

In this instance, both may have gotten their info from the same half-assed source. Or, perhaps one site reported the transfers and the other simply copied.

You might want to ask them their source! Why does anyone put so much faith in a source that may or may not have any credibility? Seems to me that they don't have much.

They don't make it up off the top of their head.

2. Your second statement is accurate. VC gets their list from Goodman.

Some guy says..essentially..." a s**t ton of basketball players are xferring out of BGSU" The University says "no one has been granted a release". It would seem...logically..that the onus is then on the people who made the claim that x number of players were leaving to provide sources or proof of their original claim rather than the University to further address an issue that they have already succienctly addressed.

Personally...I suspect that someone formerly associated with the program was stirring some s**t...there has to be some hard feelings amongst the crew that Sir Drinks Alot brought into town with him.

I wonder where they are going with those last two scholarships? The rest of the offers we have on VCs are named that were there with Jans, so I'm guessing we aren't really in play with them. If all these guys are back then 1. We might be kind of good next year. 2. I would be surprised if Huger goes after anymore JUCOs.

There's only six more days left in the current signing period. Seems like we got a couple summer recruits under Orr but I can not find where there is an extension in the signing period. Anyone know? Is Fox a possibility for a scholarship as an interim choice?

Amazing what a coaches road show can do. I asked and pretty much got the story. The previous coach was facing a very thin roster for next year and Huger was able to save the day.

Unfortunately, there will be some players that will not return , some for academics or injuries or both. Delvo probably has a shot at wheelchair basketball.

There is a chance that we get another player before the 20th. The interesting thing I learned is a player isn't here until the first day of class! AnLO isn't absolute.

Anyway, the road show was fun.

Great reports from the roadshow but some conflicting accounts...only 1 transfer vs. "some" players will not return due to academics/injuries & the letter-of-intent-is-no-guarantee curveball. Seeing how the roster will look and how the 13 scholarships are filled once everything shakes out will be fascinating to watch.

It seems pretty clear to me. We either have all of the players but one returning or maybe not. Don't ask questions.
