BG in the MAC Tournament thread

CMU eliminated. #1 and #2 seeds eliminated.

#1 CMU and #2 KSU are both gone, as both have been swept right out of the tournament. While it makes for an exciting time for the rest of the seeds right now, this isn't exactly "good" for the MAC right now. This year's baseball tournament is shaping up to be what has happened many times before in the old basketball format. Yes I was thrilled when BG won it two years ago as a #6 seed, but I'd be lying if I said as a fan of the MAC that the teams with the best regular seasons (which counts for much more than a few days in Avon) are long gone. But, that's the way things go. At this point I'd like to see WMU beat OU in the next game to really shake this tournament field up.

BG will play WMU in an elimination game on Friday at 1:00. If the Falcons win, they would have to turn around the following day and beat Ohio twice to advance. OU's sitting pretty right now on our side of the bracket. Ball State and Akron play the last game of today (Thursday) tonight.

I'm going to call it right now. BG will eliminate WMU today 7-2, and then go sweep the Bobkitties tomorrow to move on the MAC Championship game.

I hope you're right, but right now BG is "throwing" the game away early on. Back-to-back throwing errors and the Falcons are already down 3-0 in the 2nd.

BG had a great chance to score in the 1st and 4th but unfortunately Smith each time grounded into DP. BG still down 3-0 half game still remains.

Freak, if you have smartphone the games are streaming live!!!! Even if you can only peak from time to time play the stream on your phone. But since you haven't watched it yet don't jynx us.

BG WINS. 5-3. Only gave up 1hit after 3rd inning.

BG now plays the bobkitties. We will need to beat them twice tomorrow to move into the championship game.

Nice come back by BG! But here's where things get really tough though. Not only do we need to beat OU twice, BG has gone through its weekend rotation through these first three games whereas OU has only used their first two weekend starters having played a game less than BG. We're gonna have to rely on mid-week arms now. I'm guessing there's a chance we could see Link back out there some (like his bullpen day work) since he was chased from the game early on Wednesday. Either, way, GO BG!!!
